We had this album and it was one of my favorites. Had some French Friends with a caravan and we drove down to Spain every year in the 70's with this blasting out on the cassette player in the car. Never tired of it during very long journey's...
A fellow organist here and K.W. fan. You have captured the sound and playing style of the GREAT man . Well done. I was fortunate enough to be able see K.W when he was on tour in the Uk in Oxford. It was a stunning performance. It was around the time when he recorded the L.P. On The Sunny Side Of The Street. A fantastic tribute to the GREAT man Thankyou for sharing your playing with us.
@Grandpiano3 Thank you Grand Piano I am elated that you enjoyed it. Yes he was the master and will never be beaten he was fabulous both on and off stage, strange at times but he had it all. I love sunny side of the street album too but I do like the earlier albums I started collecting and being a fan way back in 68....I miss him so much thanks for taking the time to comment appriciated
You play the Organ so beautifully Wersiking....By the name I assume you are playing on a WERSI organ, I saw KW in Manchester UK in around 1980 with his new KORG organ, seem to thing he had it specially commisioned....The Concert was amazing, Thank you for your lovely KW cover versions....they are beautifully done, and very much appreciated
@MrBillyboop You got it Wersi but WOW I Didn't Know KW played Korg thats something I didnt know. I lost contact with Klaus late eighties I thought it was disgusting how THEY booked him just to dance to, I thought what a come down
but the guy had a heart of gold and he did a lot for people who had hard times. Thank you for the comments they are too Well Appriciated I made some one happy....job done!
My God, I was about 7 when I first heard Klaus on many 8-track cartridges that my uncle Tom bought. I was insatantly hooked, and as a pianist and trainee organist myself (in Church) I was astounded that organs could do all this! I have to say that your touch, nuances and subleties remind me so much of Klaus, well done friend!!
Do you have the tune "From the alley to the alamo" it was a tune by K.W. and a guy playing the accordion, cant think of his name, but it was recorded in 1959-60 I think. I have a poor digital copy, but would love a better one. Also Jeepers Creepers by the same two.
Cheers Brett, Thank you for your kind words. I have been asked to do more covers of Klaus Orginals...the guy WAS the true master a very very Clever Man
Hammond pops 5 was one of my first LP of KW. around 1974-76, when I lived in Argentina. Thanks for posting and keep doing some of this medley's of those old LP's.
You played very well with every variaton in the songs.
A big Bravo! I won't say you play like him, but ... my ears seem to tell me Klaus is playing right now! You're fantastic! Is it only because of Wersi sound? I don't think so, your fingers are magic, too!
Thanky You Arthur very much, ahh your very kind, and I appriciate your comments very much. Klaus was unique I couldn't even come close or indeed not worthy to lick his boots but i try. I think it's just sitting down and listening and transfering to the fingers I am working on a few new ones at the moment I hope you enjoy them.Once again thank you so much. John
Many Thanks carstenkolle, I'm so Pleased you liked my copy of K.W arrangement. I could achive all the sounds of the H as I used a Wersi OX7 for this..back to work with the good old Helios and give this Medley another go.
omg i want one of these wersi ox7 expanders to link to the tyros 2 ..even the sampled klaus sounds i have loaded in the tyros 2 come no where close to this ..
Dit is en blijft hele mooie muziek
