People talking about how the destruction sucks: You realize it IS a game and it needs to support 16+ players at a time, some with terrible online connection. Also, the fact that it is running on a high end graphics engine and having to deal with tons of other things makes destruction one of the least of DICE's worries. I would rather play a game that works and has shitty animation than a half assed one.
@DahPurpleHippo I agree with you, I wanna shoot people and have fun and also the game have to have nice graphic etc. The game have to be optimized, so i dont care how the destruction effect the game.
@PockyWord Okay well your logic is flawed already if you think BF3 looks anything like BC 1 or 2. Bad Company 1 and 2 use the Frostbite 1 engine, while Battlefield 3 uses Frostbite 2 engine. Notice the difference in numbers. BF3's graphics are by far the best looking graphics out right now, PC, PS3, or 360.
@fabianhiti Believe me, I know. Each frame in this easily must've taken over 30 minutes to render, although that's really dependent on hardware this was done on.
He might be talking about the initial smoke, in which case I'd agree with him - a large amount of smoke appears after only a small amount of building has fallen down. The ending smoke is completely right, though.
haha how would SOO much smoke come from such small building parts? nice job though keep it up. You'll figure out the quantity soon. :) What's the inspiration you're using to follow realism?
