@festivalspy You missed a special one this year. Dreadzone were on just before The Levellers and the rain bucketed it down from about 7pm until the fireworks. Did I car ? Not a Jot......
And Friday night opening the main stage - Only Hobo Jones and the Dogs - Beautiful Days it was.........
@Cusheydoo Don't know if it's true but a Highlander once told me it was originally the term the Highlanders used for lowland Scots. Later it got transferred to meaning us tax/soap dodging pacifist English. Great song whatever.
My mistake again it was an English and Scots mercenary song you are correct ... used to fight the Spanish & supporting lowlanders (today Catholic Belgians) in the Dutch revolt
But was used by Royal Navy and during the disease ridden Walcharen campaign
I have always liked the Levellers and seen them from the 80's onwards but this isnt a good version in my eyes...listen to Natalie Merchant and The Chieftains version if you wamt goosebumps!!!
I don't blame you for resting your liver . . . I needed some R and R after Trowbridge. Here's to the London concerts next year. Cheers again--you've documented some great footage, mate.
thanks for the comments :o) i am dont for festivals this year i am afraid, just sitting down and thinking about what ones to go to next year!! your right about the gig though was amazing, wish i had got more but it got abit mental down the from after far from home!! maybe catch you at BD's next year
Festivalspy, you strike again!! Thanks so much for uploading these and Wychwood--great filming. I am here in the States and really appreciate this. I don't suppose you got to Trowbridge this year?
No sorry, just restricted myself to 3 this year, its about all my liver can cope with!!! that is me done until next year but i will be following the levs to at least 2 festivals again!! glad u liked them and thanks for the comment!!
