Ahh, this must be the japanese version then. I only played the SNES port of Gradius III, this version of the flame stage seems tougher (excluding the arcade mode).
I know, I lost a many of games when that happen, especially when you beat it and it scare you, yes that happen a couple of times. That was the reason when I played this level I went into the circle that they formed while they were trying to fight you. The reason was when the pieces flew apart they went away from you.
@JPpando50 This stage is like hell in a video game and she is using Spread Bombs trust me this is 20x harder than the SNES port but atleast the PS2 and PSP port both have F. Options and R.Options as a unlockable in Extra Edit.
Oooh, I hated stage 7 so much because of those fireballs leaving off indestructable fragments and so many of them clogging up the screen at once. At least in the SNES version you didn't have to worry about it.
Great gameplay as always. I'd like to see how you'd tackle the last two stages, especially stage 9 and those dreaded blocks you have to dodge at the end.
I just use the Normal Laser since it's the only laser with a rapid fire

yesterday i beat gradius 3 and today i beat gradius 5 only gotta beat 4 now :) stuck on stage 6 though

ripple is pretty useful, except when it comes to bosses.

That's the reason why I always used C. Laser, because in boss fights, one direct hit from it counts as two shots.

i never knew that. i had never known that the C.laser could do 2 hits. i usually use the E. laser.

Well in the SNES version of G3 it does, I don't know about the Arcade version of G3.
