Grayson Hall got nominated for her performance in this film, and deserved it. If not for the fact that Agnes Moorehead was also nominated for ''Hush Hush, Sweet Charlotte'', the two would not have split the vote, allowing Ms. Kedrick to win it for ''Zorba the Greek''.
The great film actress Deborah Kerr was nominated 6 times for the Best Actress Oscar (and these didn't even include her best performances in "Black Narcissus" and, especially, "The Innocents"), but she never won. During the 1960's (unlike, today), "stars" were never nominated by the Academy Awards for Supporting Oscars. If so, Kerr would have finally won for this role.
if only cinemas would bring these movies back as a support.
a lot of today's youngsters would actually appreciate them.
OH, GOD, IF ONLY.
Are there anycinemas out t here that have two movies on one programme? surely, there must be one cinema on the planet that does.
