Thanks for posting. Born in Santa Cruz in '68 and as a kid I couldn't wait to be tall enough to finally ride the Giant Dipper. Couldn't get enough of it once I was big enough. Live in Oregon now but still like to take a ride when I visit SC.
Thanks for posting this, Bob. It brings back memories of the old Santa Cruz days, with the Battle of the Bands on the beach as well as in the Coconut Grove. Sometimes I really miss the Left Coast.
I LOVED that roller coaster!!! I used to ride it over and over all day. I was FUN!!

This is definitely my favorite rollercoaster still. Some of the steel ones at Great America are more exciting, but this is my childhood
