They were pumping that line a lot higher than when the next group added the second section and advanced it. Sit back and laugh because your cuckling ass probably cant do it much better camera boy! "Hi im camera boy I am a fireman and my mom is proud of me for picking on the probies at academy!"
@Sabreturtle then why are they using it ?.. i dont know how much bar our hoses use but we can use them 1 man and it gives 200 liter per minut. so if they cant handel it dont use it
the pressure on the hose coming from the pump was too high. its a training session, not an actual emergency. appears to be a firefighter 1, maybe a firefighter 2 class depending on the jurisdiction. a lot of new recruits have trouble handling a hose at first, due to it being unfamiliar to them. after a couple of months on the job they become more confident and have an easier time handling the nozzle.
@HFD97FIRE2 Volunteers are just the people who are willing to put themselfs in the same amout of danger as you, but they do it for free in their spare time. time they could be spending with their familys or relaxing... so maybe you shouldnt dig on the volunteers
well the hose guy shoulda been taking the majority of the nozzle reaction. nit her fault, i remember once i had to crawl on my knees to get to the fire in the room and my hose guy was like 8ft behind me not even helping me pull the hose further in.
It's practice/training, you can try out some things then also. We've put a lot of pressure for the guys sometimes as well. Especially when we feed a AWG BMM high-capacity nozzle straight from the pump with 75 mm (3 inch) hose, it would make a single person fly.
It is way to much pressure for that smooth bore. you can tell by the stream. They should only have 50psi at the tip. It will still take 2 firefighters to advavce this line ,1 3/4 hose 15/16 tip is 185gpm = 2 firefighters to advance.
@oleleatherhead You looks like the pump operator thinks he's running a fog nozzle. And yes, it's a hell of a lot harder to hold on to that much force than people think.
Im 16 and a lafd explorer and im sorry lol but this is just a bad performance on the 1 1/4 hose thats a one man hose im 130 lbs and i do it by myself lol
@flashbejerkin thats 1 3/4 inch hose flowing roughly 150 GPM at 50 PSI. a 130 pound kid couldnt hold that hose by himself. im 6'1'', and 230, and it can throw me around.
@flashbejerkin No. it has a lot to do with strength, sorry. Technique is also needed but you can't honestly tell me you think that it's all technique and no strength.
@flashbejerkin I didn't say it was all strength. And it's not more technique than strength either. You will never convince me otherwise. I've been doing this for awhile.
This lady is goin for a ride! I'd say the pump operator is giving her a hard time- that smoothbore is being WAY overpumped. That looks like a 1/2 or maybe a 3/4" inch tip- it should have way more reach than that, instead of looking like a narrow fog stream. I'd say someone is busting the "newbie's" chops.
The dumbest part is the nozzle man shouldn't have to deal with the pressure its the back up mans job to take the pressure so that the nozzle guy only has to focus on where to spray
@RaveAndGlowSticks Actually we volunteers take just as much crap as the paid guy it's the same job and we take the same responsibility because the fire doesn't know or care if your getting paid or not it will kill you just the same.
@RaveAndGlowSticks m8 volunteers in Florida get paid 300.00 a month for gas to get there that is all man or according to all the chiefs I have talked to 4 chiefs to be exact..Once you become a member and a certified fire 1 you are on call 24/7 if there isn't enough members at 3am in the morning to take care of a structure fire you have to get up and go..I am not even a member yet and I know that lol..I think you also get paid 100.00 a month while taking classes for gas money to..
@RaveAndGlowSticks Thats a stupid comment. I am a volunteer female firefighter in Australia and this video is a training session. The backup bloke is probably a trainee too so they both are making mistakes. Just because you are a paid firey doesnt mean you dont fuck up. We still do our training and get certified .Hopefully youre not a paid firey because with that attitude, you wouldnt get far here in Oz.. Our fraternity backs each other up here.
