The song is so true...i traveled to NYC and really got caught between the moon and NYC...met a really person out there and I haven't been the same since...i have been back several times since then...and this song just makes me want to move there...and the words to this are so true...back in the day I never really understood the meaning of it, but oh goodness, now I do !!

The city was running rampant with crime, social and economic problems far worse than NYC of today. I grew up in NYC during the 70's, 80's 90's and today. Big improvement over the past 30 or 40 years.
