Does the car have high mileage, like 100k or more? Sounds like a sloppy push rod or valve rocker. Once the oil warms up the lubrication should reach the rod and the clicking would definitely diminish as the cars warms. It's not a bad injector or else it would make the noise constantly. I would try a pressurized oil system flush, not just run an oil system product through. That has resolved a similar issue I once had with an R50.
hi! mi R50 makes the same noise when its cold...i just let it warm up a bit and go...after like 5 minutes theres no noise...i think its not something serious!

sound lik the hydrolic lifters(tappets) if it has them, I don't know anything about minis

is the anti-freeze ok it should be a 50/50 mix the water could be freezing. you should get your dealer to check the anti-freeze
