i understand the three grappling arts because they are very different and unique from eachother. wrestling incorporates slams, judo incorporates throws, and jiu-jitsu incorporates submissions. makes perfect sense. but the striking! are they fucking serious!? it would make more sense if they put muay thai, tae kwon doe, and karate, or some other striking arts as their three basic stand-up arts! just makes more sense! how are you going to make an mma game if you don't have any common sense!?

When they say Boxing mate they don`t mean that they would just be boxing it means that its their area of strengths a.k.a Stefan Bonner, Rashad Evans...these guys are more likely to take you out for a stand up game that involves boxing as a opposed to a guy like BJ Penn i know not the same weight class but as an example He can still punch like he does in UFC but his expertise is in jiu jitsu therefore hes going to be more affective on the ground game...hope it makes it more clearer for u cheers!

muay thai is the same shit ass kick boxing except you also incorporate knees and elbows, and both arts incorporate boxing because you also can punch. so wouldn't that make muay thai the dominant art? why would they have you choose out of the three?!? its obvious that muay thai has superiority over both! stupid... doesn't make any sense what so ever

muay thai is all about strong knees and elbows kickboxing is all about strong punches and kicks and boxing is all about strong punches(dirty boxing in the ufc means u can also throw punches from the clinch)i dont see why muay thai is the dominant just cause u can use knees and elbows in addition to kicks and puches...

yh i no i dont see why u cant beat muay thai with a kickboxer if u cant u need something to back u up such as bjj (brazillian ju jitzu) but the muay thai can still beat u there so ur best chance against a muay thai is a boxer keep the defence up and make sure u have wresling wen u go online block the knee trow punch then take em down and pound em

kickboxer has spining back fist superman punch and their kicks do more damage, however muay thai is better suited for bjj users because their elbows and knees are stronger so it helps them with their standup game and their ground by utilizing the 8 points of contact
