  • i owuld really appreciate some fingerings for this. Just saying. I don't even need rhythms or notes just fingerings would be perfect!! PLEASEEEE!!!!

  • very well done:)

  • Open up your throat!!!!!

  • :D this makes me smile :D you are talented. i hope to be able to play that well someday ^^

OH. btw. what type of horn do you recommend buying?

  • do you know this by ear or do you have sheet music, if you have sheet music i really want it. i play french horn, and for a first year player, im pretty good. I am borrowing from my school (im in 8th grade) a Holton nickel-silver double horn. with a 12 1\2 inch bell, great sound if you know what your doing.

  • where do you get the music

  • breathe much?

  • I seriously thought you were Dwight at first. Thats why I clicked on it. Good job though! I also play horn and also have the Conn 8d.

  • you.are.my.hero.

  • Hi! I am a beginner French Horn player for my school's 6th grade band, and I am looking into buying a French Horn (I currently rent one via Amro Music). Our school uses Accent F Horns (double). Do you have any suggestions on where to purchase one? Thanks!

  • the best horn you can buy is Alexander Horn 103...! it is very expensive but more than awesome ! ... i have it and i am so happy with it and so proud to play such an instrument ! ...have fun...

  • Should've glissed or slurred up to the second noted and other similar notes.

  • Some one please help! i have a chair test in my band class on monday with twinkle twinkle little star on my french horn and i dont know the fingerings OR the notes will some one plz help me!

  • im a beginner french horn its very nice how old were you when u started

  • How long have u been playing? great!

  • the british office is way better but the american one is still funny!

  • Thank you so much for the fingerings!!!!!! I am totally trying this!

  • wow great but you missed a note

  • WELL DONE!!

I like the ending!!! very stylish!

  • how weird, im watching this office now, and was looking for a specific song, not related to the office i scroll down see the thumbnail and think ha he looks like dwight, then i see the title for it lol

  • That was really good! haha

  • his camaro

  • its red

  • my name is Crystal franklin i have semi blonde hair not as bright as his though i play the flute

  • Comment removed

  • YOU'RE AMAZING!

  • Wow I can't believe i used to play this instrument. Thank God for percussion haha :)

  • I LOVE THE OFFICE! and this.

  • wow that was good!

haha you remind me of dwight.

  • lol, thats what i thought :)

  • that was awesome man

  • That's rock dude!

  • That was so cool!!! I'm inspired now

  • Being able to play a B or C bellow the the double staff isn't hard, it only takes about one to two years of pratice. A C above the staff is just as easy.

  • yay , made me happy

  • I used to play French horn...not anymore.

Makes me pretty sad lol =(

  • fun instrument! in my second year

  • I just love how radiant it can sound! =o

Whether a solo or a group of them playing...it's always nice :D

Unless of couse all of them play horribly out of tune in that "farty" way...then maybe not so much haha. The exception being the Star Wars guy o_o!

  • Dude some suggestions?

    Improve your tone

Take bigger breaths so you arent breathing evry measure

  • dude im way better than u im 14 ....i can play a C or B 8 ledger lines below the staff and hit a C above staff

  • but ur also a douche and have no friends... : /

  • I can do that barely and the only time I pratice is during class ^^;; I'm also 14

  • @Storm438 Troll, learn to appriciate. It seems to make you unhappy (watching this video)... taking the time to write the comment keeps you here ;). douchebag

  • i'm playing the french horn for 9 years now and i can tell you, that this is pretty bad. i hope you can do better now :D

  • awesome!! that was sooo good! i just started french horn last year in my grade 9 music class, so I'll need lots of practice if I want to get better..but I've been playing piano for 8 years and am heading into grade 9 piano and I've been meaning to learn the office, so would you mind telling me the notes so I could transpose to the piano?? thanks :D

  • 00:29-00:31 I'd have double-tongued, but that's alright. It was pretty good =D.

Did you figure out the notes by ear or did you actually find sheet music?

  • Thats a beautiful conn. I have the same one in fact! But sadly it isn't mine. It's a donated instrument to my orchestra. I dont ahve the money to buy a conn 8d. =P

  • thank you. i love my conn, they are rampant in most french horn sections. they produce wonderful tones but when i want to play forte or louder i produce a buzz and it sounds like a roar. if i could buy a horn again i would buy a holton mercer matic. though their high range takes a little bit getting used to, the tone is better than a conn. lets face it, do you want to play high and sound ok or do you want to play beautifully and work on your high range. i prefer the latter

  • Yeah. You have a good point.

  • Im glab you know what you are talking about. I LOVE my conn. its an OLD conn though, made back in the days when they were still a good company. For me, I feel like i can't play loud enough sometimes bc the bore is quite large for me. I push SOOOOO much air through it and still cannot be heard over the piano sometimes. good luck and have fun with it. (i wanna hear some Mozart!)

  • i don't know about the specific model of my holton, but i gotta tell ya, it sucks.i really don't like it. the tone IS good, i'll give it that, but everything else is just, well, not good. i played an olds horn for over a year and that my friend is a horn! i soo want to get one but i can't afford one! - oh yeah- the holton i have is provided by the school i go to.

  • hey

can you please send me the fingerings!

    cheers

  • can you send me the fingerings?

  • ty for the fingerings

  • Do you have a regular french horn or double french horn?

  • it is a double french horn

    it's a conn 8d

a double french horn has both the F and Bb

they also make triple horns now; they have an F Bb and i believe another octave F

  • i though they had one 2

  • omg triplehorn?!

    that's freaking AWESOME

yeah i have a double and im learning the Bb notes right now :P

  • is it a triple? i can barely tell!

  • no, its a double

    conn 8D

god, i recorded this so long ago

  • @stephenjacobsl i hope your better now :)

  • @stephenjacobsl Eb actully

  • Dude. I'd kill to have this music. xD

  • wow! I love the office and I play the French Horn!!!! I HAVE to learn that!!!!! (:

  • i want the notes

  • can u give to me pwease

  • i need notes!!!

  • do you have the fingerings for a horn without the b trigger?

  • really does he hunt

  • nope

    he plays sax

  • i like the compound bow in the background

  • my brother's

  • fav show

  • can i have the notes?

  • This made me smile.

And I just had an urge

to watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Which means I am not in a happy mood.

    But this made me smile.

And The Office is incredibly, amazing.

thankyou for putting a smile on my face.

  • good job!

  • he said fingerings!!!!!!! nehehehehehe

  • you are so not a band geek.

  • that was sweet yo

  • u need to work on ur attack

  • id love to see yours

considering this was the thirteenth take, and you dont seem to play the french horn, i disagree.

  • how do u suddenly decide that i dont play the horn? in fact i do. and the mello besides that. i mean no offense im just saying musician to musician that if u cleaned up ur attack it would be amazing

  • BergerKing: As a hornist, I'm going to say that I've found that playing mellophone too much tends to mess up one's attack (because you generally use too much pressure; my teacher called this "mellophonitis").

stephenjacobs: Your attack was very slightly muddy, but it didn't stop me from enjoying the performance. You were also just a little out of tune (but I'm very sensitive to that, so it's probably not that bad).

    Overall, a great job.

However, Steve Carrell < Ricky Gervais

  • the mellophone is the evil twin of the horn and messes up almost everything that u strive to fix with the horn with the exception being the high register. to that extent i agree

  • Good mellophones sound decent, but most people don't care and make it sound like a screamophone

  • do the mario song

  • its even better cause i like the show

    and im learning to play

  • ur name is gamecube

  • awesome

  • Nice

  • Nice. I've been playing the French Horn for 9 years. How long have you been playing?

  • i think its 7 this october. thank you

  • lol cool i like to american office haha and i play the french horn!!

  • oh, i was expecting the proper office theme aka. handbags and gladrags. cant be doing with the american office its jus not as funny...and it doesnt have as nicer sounding tune.

  • well, i like my american office theme better

    cant help you with that

  • why do you stick your hand into the big hole?(i dont play the french horn)

  • it controls your tone more and can help you bend the sound for tough intonations. it makes the tone generally fuller because your hand is muffling the sound. also, when standing you can hold the instrument firmer if you have your hand inside.

  • this is good i play fh 2

  • nice, but you should have done a sick arpeggio at the end because arpeggios rock

  • Sweet!

Ima definetly try this out. Thanks!

  • you actually look a little bit like dwight in this video

  • haha yes

thank you, he is the best

    what's the pink line?

    menstrual cycles

  • This could be better, but still...it's so awesome that you took time to figure this out and then to leave the fingerings in the sidebar. For today, you are my hero.

  • thanks

you might wanna check out my other videos too

if you look at the death cab one i explained why this recording was so bad

  • good good ...

  • Aww I wanted to play this cause you gave the notes but I left my F-Horn at school for the weekend T_T..

  • Don't listen to mellotofer. He writes like he is a beginner and has no credibility in giving you advice. You can become a fine horn player. Open your oral cavity, give more air support as your tone sounds like it is dying, typical sound of poor air support. Work on getting the horn to sing. YOU are the musician and the horn is just a magnifier of your sound.

  • whys that?

  • vay amına koyıymmm bu kadarmı çirkin çalınırr helal biladerr dökmüşün kendini bide burayı meşgul ediosun bu pis vidyonlaa sill olm bunu yada sana girince yanda çıkan bi dede warr ona girr bak mekan pis loş bi yerr o net işte

  • That was awesome. The Office is one of my favorite shows. The only problem is that you breathe too often, but I do the same thing, so don't worry... Other than that, well done!

  • steve ya shits mad gay

  • thank you

  • sorry larry that was patty!!!!

  • could you pm me the notes 4 this too please! thanks!

  • pm? what does that mean?

the fingerings are there for this one

    so you should be fine

but the weezer one ill scan and fix

just send me an email of yours i can attach it to

  • The trigger makes it easier to go higher and lower more effictively. In essence, it also makes it easier to go higher because it switches the horn from an F to Bb.

The fingerings are almost all the same, except for around the 3rd space C. From there, C is open, D is 12, Eb is 1, E is 2, F and G are open... etc, etc.

  • Bb should not be used for lower...in fact you can't play as low on the Bb side as the F....

The F side is the ideal side, but when you get higher the partials get so close together that it's easier to play on the Bb (and usually more in tune as well)

And as far as where to switch to the Bb side, The A below the C you're talking about is a better place.

  • dude nice f horn yours is silver right? well i like the sound and it was pretty good and how many years have you been playing the f horn? I have only 4 years and know a lot of the notes but how do you play them without the trigger before i tried but since i have no trigger it sounds different help plz!!!!!!

  • just imatate it with out really pushing down the keys, thats wat i do

  • haha i do see dwight in him:p

  • if you mean sweet guns and dripping with hot sex then yes, i do.

  • Haha, very cool!

  • HAHAHAHA! THAT IS AWESOME!!! Go world's best boss!!!

  • is that a sarcastic thank you? or maybe......

  • no, Dwight is awesome. he may be weird, and i think i am personally more like jim, but it is a serious thank you.

  • from the side you look like dwight

  • thank you!

    thanks so much

  • go Shmeh! Play it on the bass next time

  • could you play this without the thumb key?

  • yea, um, if its a regular f, just find the fingerings for these notes

    its just d to d(octave)

    then do C# D to C#

then A to B natural to another B natural

    and the rest is without

im glad theres other office french horn loving people out there

  • thnx man

  • yes, you could

thats why i wrote out the notes that did have trigger so you could find the notes on the regular F horn. i dont remmember all that f horn stuff anymore.

  • i play the french horn in my middle school band i like it

  • WOO go french horn dood !!!

  • this is awesome man

  • go steve!!!!
