To kill the electric beetles you have to throw the pikmin on top of it and it will flip over. Then all you have to do is attack it normally.

i figured out how to pick up the bombs! just hold the left hand side stick toward it. takes a while sometimes though. try it out!

you should get the second game.there is a bit less challenge but alot more fun plus you can play story mode forever without restarting.
