thanks for this! it helped me decide that i'll prolly go with the pixi over the pre. i'm a more casual phone user, mainly need this for the fun features and texting and email, and I like the "form factor" and weight better. also, you reveiwed 2 things others often overlook... the battery life and the sturdiness of the phone, which are two of the most important factors to me. :D SO THANK YOU!

My GF has HTC Magic which just got the HTC Sense upgrade and I used to own an iPhone 3Gs and since I switch to the pre I have not looked back. the WebOS system is 2nd to none as far as usability, flow, beauty, community support and stability. I'm spoiled and can't even think of using anything else. Although sense UI is nice, but comes 2nd.

It is UNBELIEVABLY easily hack and "get into things" on the WebOS platform. There's plenty of documentation and support via the WebOS-Internals community.

I previously had the Sprint Pre for 2-3 weeks and the Verizon versions appear to be the same.

Can't wait. I'm getting mine tomorrow. The ratio of good to bad reviews is extremely high. And most of the negative reviewers seem to be iPhone users that are just jealous.
