It was never specified in the terms of service that an idling program was illegal until recently.

It's not cheating because the odds of getting something were not geared towards any one or group of players. The hats and items are given out at random.

Second;

The people who didn't use an idler program should be grateful to those who did, or else they would not have a new hat.

Third;

The people who did use an idler should get a devil hat.

Valve is just being really childish about this whole thing. I had each of the class's hats from the spy update and had them all equipped except for the fro. Then this god awful update hit and all im left with is the fro and halo... I reported the bug, closed the game, and resumed playing l4d on Funzones server.

I hope valve doesn't screw up l4d like they did TF2... TF2 used to be really fun, they should had just gave you the new weps since they don't give much of an advantage anyways...
