I didn't know the answer was on the bottom of the claw until recently... I looked at the murals on the walls and guessed, since (going from memory, this was a good 30 hours of gameplay ago for me) the first section of the murals had a dog on, so I put the first image to a bear since it looked similar... the next section had butterflies, so I put butterflies, and an owl in the last because it was the closest thing to... whatever was there XD Can't remember. But it worked first time.
