For a Mountain Bike Brand, their cost is similar...they are all expensive. hehehe. However, you need to check your budget, Carbon or Aluminum frame? Then check their sizes and their geometry (this is important). If HT or FS....you need to know what kind of riding style you'll be doing. If XC, HT will be fine. for AM, you should get FS. I hope this is helpful....

I would recommend to get a FS. For brands, i am using Tracer VP. There are many brands to choose from... like Trek, Specialized, SantaCruz....etc. It's like buying a Car, get the one you like.
