Oooh, that looks bad. The demon of gravity has become you, and pushed you to the brink of demise. All around you, is the demon, beckoning his wrath to tempt you to defeat him. With patience, with bravery, and with huge deposits of what they call "ready cash", you will be equippped with what is needed to defeat him. For that which is good, that which is proper, is the goal, to beat the demon, who is gravity. His evil will be overcame in the end....for you, Sir, the battle is just beginning.
Scott...I just watched your 12/18 crash...this was painful to watch also. With the added wind in this situation, you gotta just hover this straight up. Do not let it drift away. Work the rudder to practice sideways orientation. My first 2 helicopter's I did absolutely zero forward motion. It's boring, but I highly recommend this exercise. Bring straight up. Do a little turn. Bring it straight down. Keep on flying. Don't forget to work that simulator.
My first two helicopters are still running a Piccolo and a Humming Bird fixed pitch, learn to hover on the Piccolo. I am still learning to hover in all directions. Thanks for the input
Sorry about your crash. I see that you are just moving into forward flight. You are doing a good job. What was the cause of the crash? Did something break in the tail or was it the tail servo or gyro related?
Something failed in the plastic tail cone. Not sure what it was. The Gyro is on the blink now too. it was a Futaba 240 so no loss there. I have a New HK 401B on the way. I had all but 2 parts already ordered.
Nice crash. It looked like the tail went out
