I have one... But its a piece of $#1+ so I keep it off so people dont complain about the static... That and im too damn lazy to go buy a new one. That and according to my philosophy 'If it works dont fix it' it works fine

I completely agree with you, but ironically I don't use a mic myself and got plenty of mics. i guess I just feel more focused on the game without one.

When you buy used stuff it comes with the bare minimum. No mic. People also receive these things as gifts. possibly even used gifts... from gamestop

I kinda agree with you. I gives your team an extra boost in team games. But you still make it sound like it is important to winning. In halo 3 when you shot your service tag turns yellow and when you take damage it turns orange. Usually when I dont have my mic on I use the service tags. The only time talking is a must do, is in team doubles or in Team Swat.
