  • Damn I love Japanese mech animation. Not cheesy or stupid at all. Japanese robots forever!!!!!!!!

  • Anyone other than me thought of Power Rangers (Super Sentai) somehow?

  • dang how many times are they going to say "final fusion" lol

  • they usad this same footage for every single episode...

AND IT WAS DAMN AWESOME EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!!

  • 0:34 Rail Spike? The hell? How..?

  • Well damn thats what i call final fusion!!!

  • Is anyone else here impressed so much by the animation?

I have no idea what this show is about (except its a mecha anime of course) but the animation is just so beautiful!!!! They really detail everything in these old Japanese amines!!!

And the concept artist for the mechas must of been a master!!! :D

  • you know you gonna kick asses when your shoulders are shinkansen train

  • What anime is this?

I have no idea what this is, but it looks awesome!

  • @kuraz08 You seriously need to read the uploader comments, it obviously says GaoGaiGar episode 3.

  • @FlayvorOfEvil I'm sorry. ;_;

The title is kinda suspicious, well that's just me. Thanks though. :)

  • @kuraz08 He screams GaoGaiGar in the end.

  • I've got no idea what show this is

    But it rocks

  • GOOOOOO GIA GAAAAAAAAAAR!!!!!!!!

  • Reminds me of a mix with Transformers, power rangers and alittle bit of gundam. Love the mechanical details

  • @Ravnen2dn We do not use that blasphemous term on here. It's "Super Sentai".

  • @Tsukasamacleod Idk whats worse.. people who got bug faced helmets or rip off of the people with bug faced helmets.. I dont really care for either of them. They both do the same thing, so yah.. no need to be picky about the name.

  • @Ravnen2dn It's one thing to make a silly tv series, it's another to rip it off and claim it as your own. Plus, it's the principle of the whole thing: The idea that they need to Americanize everything. So yeah, going with the original work and not the dishonest rip off that promotes American centrism.

  • @Tsukasamacleod Well you know americans are stupid and ignorant.. But what do I care.. not american, so yah.. I will still say it looks like a mix of transformers, power rangers and alittle bit of gundam..

  • @Tsukasamacleod

Funny, I don't ever remember the power rangers promoting American Centrism as you put it. Hell, did you ever WATCH the series when it originally aired? They typically had a small "Moral Moment" snippet after the credits rolled, and extolled values that most of my brethren seem to ignore, you know, things like Equality, Teamwork, Fair Play, and how not to be an arrogant ass.

  • @Zoten001 Also of note, even when I was 5 I saw the "Based upon Super Sentai" part as the credits rolled. Not every American is an ignoramus.

  • @Zoten001 Ah but you fail to see the subtle undertones of Power Rangers. By adapting the series, they are essencially shoving Japanese culture to the side, and Americanizing everything. Obviously attempting to prevent children from experiencing the culture of another nation. The teens may seem diverse, but in reality they are all as bland and white-bread as can humanly be.

  • @Tsukasamacleod

Well, what do you expect for a show whose target audience was children not yet out of single digits? Also, what is the point of trashing a show from over 20 years ago? There are plenty of things now that expose kids to a meriad of cultures, if their parents aren't narrow-minded zealots that is.

  • @Zoten001 Well if Captain Planet can diversify better, and Batman TAS can tell better stories, I expect a lot. The point of trashing a series (That won't be 20 years old until next year) is to help people get over their nostalgia goggles, because then they idealize their childhood shows regardless of quality and will bash on anything not from their generation (See the New Thundercats for an example) You honestly expect kids to listen to their parents about that?

  • @Tsukasamacleod I really wish people would do research before bashing things. This is very common with Power Rangers.

  • @anti4kids2000 What exactly do you mean?

  • @Tsukasamacleod I never knew you made a comment on Super Sentai and Power Rangers before I commented. Anyways, I was just saying that PR fans need to do research before bashing the newer stuff, because most of the points are bullcrap like "Baw, it isn't Tommy!" "Baww there can only be one Dragonzord!" "Baww they're raping my childhood." I'm a SS person as well as opposed to being a PR person. But even I think the points PR fans make to bash the newer ones are often poor.

  • @Tsukasamacleod I wasn't targeting you though. You at least can attack it without making the dumb points PR fanboys make. But the Japanese do have respect for the Power Ranges believe it or not. They did make a Japanese dub of it, and even had Bandora's actress do the JPN dub voice for Rita. The Power Rangers even had their own section in some of the Super Sentai guidebooks.

  • @anti4kids2000 I pretty much agree with you there. Frankly, I don't like PR in general (And to be fair, I'm not much of a SS fan anyway. More of a Kamen Rider fan))

  • what is this? o.o is it japan transformers or a totally different show? someone please tell me the name, I'm not all up to date with japan shows....

  • @Gmanunit13vers2

Quite old that show is (1998)

    The King of Braves GaoGaiGar.

    And it's not Transformers.

  • @DarkShockblast1994 Thank you

  • No Optimus Prime brah

  • So that's how they were able to transform in peace without anyone interrupting.

  • A little of this Fusion reminds me of Gravion

  • why is guy labled as a cyborg?

  • @MrSonic5 In the first episode, Guy nearly dies from when EI-01 first comes to earth. To save him they give him a robotic body and power it with the G-Stone. In FINAL, he becomes an Evoluder so he's not so much of a cyborg anymore (considering the amount of blood he sheds in the OVA).

  • What i wanna know is how that Glass kept reappearing like it was never broken.

  • @crimsonninja *uses his Taiga voice* To create you have to first destroy. The breaking of the safety glass at the beginning of each final fusion signifies that very act. the destruction of something to create a power greater the one's self and to use that power to create a future of mankind with our own two hands! That future can only be made by us if we stand together and if we have COURAGE! A Courageous heart, no matter the challenge, can conquer any obstacle and make any thing possible!

  • @Citrakite That and like the glass on a fire alarm they just replace it every time they break it.

  • @Citrakite

lol, i meant it as a joke you know because it showed them breaking it everytime but never fixing it.

  • @crimsonninja I got to use my Taiga voice though so all good.

  • if theres something japanese people can do well, thats baddass robot transformations.

  • gaogaigar has the most random vehicle combination ever

  • @fobmachine21 Well the Drills are his signature weapons (One of them atleast), the wing thingy cause he has to fly. The train....i think thats the only thing, they replaced it with planes afterwards.

  • Only crap, one of the extremely few evil opponents in anime that attack during transformation, only to fail, but still

  • @bripam15 Gaogaigar was made in part to counter the hyper-pessimistic deconstruction mecha in generall had at the time (especially Evangelion) so it wetn great lenghts to find positive answers to any questions the audience my ask themselves about the premis.

What if you opponent attacks you during tthe gattai? You have a force field.

What if the tagalong kid can´t pilot a mecha? He is an alien with psychic powers.

    Etc etc.

  • @Azmodeus87 The logic is this anime is amazing simple lol

  • Alright i don't know what this anime is. So why the fuck does he spray water everywhere when he transforms?

  • @BaxterXenon To prevent enemies from breaking the combination sequence. Also, title is in the tags and uploader's comments.

  • @MisterHeroman But it's water .____. is that water like 30,000 degrees?

  • @BaxterXenon no not water.but somehow it manage to be the g-crystal's power.

  • @BaxterXenon Water can be pretty powerful when used right.

  • I wonder how many times they had to fix that button's glass.

  • this enemy knew an ass whipping was coming that is why it tried to stop the final fusion to delay the inevitable beat down with its name written all over it.

  • GAO

    GAI

    GAAAAAAAAr

  • Train+Stealth Fighter+Drill?

Does this remind you of super vehicroid stealth union from YuGiOh GX?

  • The father of Tengen Toppa gurren LaganN?:D

  • OMFG recuerdo haber tenido un muñeco armable(pirata) de este anime o.O. Con razón se me hizo raro el nombre de GaoGaiGar(mi pequeña mente atribuyó a que era una invención al ser un juguete pirata) hahaha

  • Gotta love the amount of Technology porn we get here, but it also goes to show how much they worked to make it awesome.

  • Transformers?

  • @KamehaZero lol don`t know , the train looks like railspike from transformers

  • Atleast someones smart enough to put up a force field when combining. Not enough enemies attack a mecha mid combination.

  • Go go Power . . . oh well that's been done to death.

  • Love this anime.Still trying to find a place online that sells the figures.Trying to find the Genesic version.:P

  • @deathrider24 The last time I saw anything about the really good quality Soul of Chogokin Genesic GGG, it was on eBay and about $600. The good news is that they're making the kits for the Super Robot Chogokin line, and GGG came out last month. Choryujin should be coming out in December, and an SD GGG kit should be coming in November.

  • I'd honestly say save your $600 and wait for them to make Genesic GaoGaiGar for the Super Robot Chogokin line. And I'd suggest, at least, checking on hlj.com for pricing and upcoming releases. They've always been cheaper for me than most stuff I can get at local shops and have reliable shipping.

  • it was in some differint language

  • The original Shoutmon X7?

  • es digimon?

  • Gundam+Power Rangers?

  • this looks like where gurren laggan drew some of it's inspiration

  • I've always wondered when I was a kid due to the weekly monster attacks and the "need" to use Final Fusion every time why the the hell do the cover up the button with glass? She smashing her hand against the glass on a weekly basis...

  • You know a combination-scene is awesome, when it takes a minute and a half, the first time it's shown.

  • Hey, HEY! WHAT THE HELL IS RAIL-SPIKE DOING IN THERE? Go back to team bullet train ya' fucker :P

  • They use that button every week, why do they make a young woman break glass with her fist every time they use it.

  • @ArcadeBumstud

    Read the top comments dude.

  • transformas?

  • Noboyuki Hiyama is awesome!! His most popular role was Link from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

  • i was searching digimons videos then i ended up here XD

  • ...holy fuck....

  • rocket boots go!

  • Don't you think this is a bit TOO overthought?

  • Final Fusion - Program Drive!

    *Breaks Glass*

    ... ... ...gyah! That glass cost...MOOOOOOOOONNNEEEEEEEEYYYYYY

  • Holy shit.

  • 4 people didnt get approval for final fusion. 90 people failed and had to watch guy teach them how.

  • Pizza!

  • Half of GGG's expenses is replacement glass for the Final Fusion Button.

  • is it just me or does the oringinal robot look like a cross between starscream and megatron

  • daaaaaaaaaayyyyuuuuuuumm!!!!111

  • Oh, if only Media Blasters continued the dub. It was on par with the Japanese. Guy was voiced by the same person who played Dean Venture. DEAN FUCKING VENTURE. And Taiga was voiced by DAN GREEN. The adrenaline and spirit were done incredibly in both dub and sub.

  • What Anime is this it looks awsome

  • @axlr30 This is Yuusha-Ou GaoGaiGar, also known as King Of Braves, GaoGaiGar

  • @axlr30 Of course this is! GaoGaiGar is the best.

  • Mid-Sequence Transformation Denial.....denied!

  • They must break alot of button protectors. They should invest in the type of button guard that flips up. Also that girl must have alot of stitches on her hand.

  • Who fansubbed this?

  • @monkeymanny5 Well, the idea of a transforming, combining robot goes all the way back to Getter Robo in 1974, as well as other later shows such as Combattler V, Voltes V, GoLion, etc. Super Sentai, which came to the US as Power Rangers in the 1990s, originally debuted in 1975 in Japan. Transformers wasn't until the 80s and generally speaking, they don't typically combine and are Real Robots, not Super Robots. I must admit that I don't know what a Bakugan is, though.

  • @Taoto Well, the first super sentai that had a transforming robot was Denjiman, and it started in 1980. And in 1981 San Vulcan was the first super sentai with a gattai robot. And about Transformers being real robots... even in the american cartoon they could fly in robot mode and had lots of weapons. And when they went Japanese they became complete super robots. Just search for God Fire Guts.

  • @Taoto It's a crappy yugioh rip off.

  • @Taoto anyone else notice the center robot looks like StarScream?

  • @Mileyisawhore99 Obvious troll is obvious. This is just pathetic. You just come off as lazy and incompetent if this is all the effort you put into it.

  • @Mileyisawhore99 weeaboo usually refers to people with japanese worshipping qualities (its what i have heard of the stereotype if it is one). he was obviously not that well versed in that many anime to tell what it could be compared to other than transformers.

  • @Mileyisawhore99

    Overused meme is overused.

  • @monkeymanny5 It was made by Takara the same people who did Transformers. Because of Beast Wars and the lack of Generation 2 in Japan there was no mechanical transforming robots for Takara so they teamed up with Sunrise and a lead Gundam designer to create the Braves series culminating into the King of Braves GaoGaiGar.

  • @burningsirius no actually their was a gap after generation 2 i believe and people were getting tired of the same routine so they made the brave which was originally a cash grab. however the first brave series exkaiser (8 braves in total unless you count brave saga 2's saint of braves baan gaan) became unexpectedly popular and they made more. the last, and arguably the best, is gaogaigar. it had an ova that was 8 episodes long (close to standard anime length). to be continued.

  • @burningsirius continued. An ova remake was made of final which lasted 12 episodes (4 more in case you dont know math too well. i suck at it) which made it as long as many standard issue anime (12-13 episodes long even though the original series was 49 episodes long). the remake ova also made more connections with betterman as the two series exist in the same universe. so as you can see it was extremely popular but it had nothing to do with Beast Wars other than being transformers relative.

  • @burningsirius and one last thing. how many anime do you know that have an ova and an ova remake that are both close to/as long as your usual anime?

  • @LelouchCommandsYou None really. Usually if an OVA is ramade it is remade into a movie. A sequel OVA is usually shorter the same with a prequel OVA. Ultimately, I have a MAL and that is the trends out of the 300+ anime I have watched.

  • @burningsirius the thing is final was an ova but the remake was not a sequel as it had all the same episodes just with alot of added scenes. the amount of episodes for the ovas is what blew my mind.

  • @monkeymanny5 BAM!!! HE TORCHED YOUR ASS, MAN!! HE TORCHED IT!!

  • much better than genesic

  • 0:20 So that's why monsters don't attack while giant mechas are transforming/combining.

  • unlike other fusions, this one can't be interrupted during the fusion! :)

  • Go go power rangers (8)

  • that guy sounds like batsu from rival schools am i right or has my memory gotten bad i haven't played that game in like forever

  • @KusanagiFlames It's the same guy. Hiiyama Nobuyuki. He also voiced Link in Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess (and in Smash Bros. too). He also voiced Madarame in the anime series Genshiken.

  • @Ruisu7 Thanks!!! I knew it was him I'm not too familiar with Japanese voice actors. I guess I need To brush up on that, I know a lot of American voice actors and find voice acting interesting tis the reason i heard that voice and found it so familiar thanks for the reply though!! XD

  • @KusanagiFlames That's cause he's his voice actor. :P

  • I'm more amaze of the voice actor that has to scream almost every episode :D

  • @hunter2002bow That is because Noboyuki Hiyama is god damn amazing. Especially when he does it in person.

  • @hunter2002bow thats what you get when being voiced by link

  • Man SCREW TRANSFORMERS 3 (I love transformers very much - w-) They need to make a movie out of this instead!

  • @stinkysnak7 They made a OVA

  • @jeanrazac Maybe they should do project Z as a movie.

  • 2 of the machines look like the G-driller and the G-shadow from the gravion series

  • @Sparda98 More like G-Shadow and G-Driller look like Stealth Gao and Drill Gao. >.>

  • I had this as a toy when I was a kid...LOL So thats where it comes from XDD

  • looks like an PowerRanger version D:

  • Well, at least the bad guy tried to stop the fusing and didn't watch in awe as what would become its end fused before his eyes. Props to it.

  • @dkingofkingz

He tried to break through, then he waqs just like "fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck."

  • WOW! Awesome!

  • jaja like vieo

  • I wish I could ride in that train while that happened. After all this Anime does take place in the futuristic year of 2005...

  • @Taoto. Oh Cool so i was sorta right anyways cool I never Knew that thanx Dood.

  • @superspyke1 This is actually a show called Yuusha-ou GaoGaiGar, also known as The King of Braves GaoGaiGar. It does pay tribute to GoLion (or as you may know it, Voltron), however. Voltron is a few decades older than GaoGaiGar. I was going to post reference links, but YouTube decided to not let me.

  • @Taoto

In Super Robot Wars W Voltron was created on the same planet theat Galeon was and Guy and the Voltron pilots were old friends.

  • this is transformers?????????

    cool video

  • U know an anime is epic when the support chars are hotheaded

and they repeatedly break the same button over and over again

  • if you like or prefeare digimon go search on youtube for the nick of elbaron2 an you can see the opening and the chapters

  • I like this music. Is there a soundtrack?

  • LOLOLOLOL GOOO GUY GAAAAAAAAA

  • Does make me wonder how durable a central robot with a huge freakin' hole right through its torso from shoulder to shoulder is, though.

  • It also begs the question, where is Guy during final fusion?

  • @Galianvincent1 Inside the lion head on the chest, of course.

  • @Geminii27 ...This is a super robot show. The structure is maintained by AWESOMENESS AND COURAGE.

  • Gaoo..Gai...GAAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!!!!!!!

  • Everytime I cut down a tree, I'm going to say that, lol.

    TIIM...I mean...GAO...GAI....GAAAAAAAARRRRR!!!!

  • you do that...that would be a real kick

  • yeah, lol.

btw if you're looking for some nice music (maybe a remix of GaoGaiGar theme), check out my friend, Brawlerthehedgehog's vids. He has one with an AQUASTYLE remix of GaoGaiGar's theme. Its epic.

  • xDDDDD!! LOL

  • So many shiny moving techy bits....*drools*

  • Bad idea to hit a SPINNING GIANT ROBOT during a TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCE!

  • I always love GGG even in SRW@3 he has highest # kills.

  • Must they break the button everytime they use it?

  • Yes, they must. Every. Single. Time.

  • they must have a hard time repairing the button

  • enshurence for glassware is going up the roof D:

  • @Chief889 all GGG founds go to Final Fusion breakable glasses, LOL

  • @Chief889 Must be hell on the repair bill.

  • @Chief889 It's actually a job requirement.

I just feel bad for the guy who has to replace that thing everyday.

  • of course they must.

  • I don't think they are breaking the button but are breaking the glass ABOVE the biutton to get to it ^^

  • then why put the glass there anyway?

  • probably to act as a light up display ^^

  • It's only for emergency usage.

  • @Kaijudomage22: when they do this GAR is released from its cage

  • i wonder how much buttons they either had to replace or fix

  • @Kaijudomage22 Yes, it's in their contract, some bureaucrat will get into their asses if they won't.

  • @Kaijudomage22 its a rule. at all time a female ggg member must cut their hand on glass to show their bravery.

  • Flying train?

  • this looks like that yugioh card.

  • it was based on this anime.
