I love your videos! They are VERY helpful and very informative. One thing though, the Kodak Zi8 seems to be a discontinued item or over priced. Can you recommend another good budget camera?
Imagine my surprise when you recommended the camera I have and never used (been using the webcam on my Mac, lol) By the way, your accent is beautiful =)
@MalcolmLeeKennedy That's great! I recommend going through this site called bestjobs . ph - this is where I found my video editor. If you need access, check out this link: massoutsource . com / bestjobs-access /
my kodak is horrible when i try to edit, splice and upload. it is fine to watch with the easyshare software but when i try to upload to utube or fb it end up being a collection of individual clips
@ookalik42 That's a very strange thing that seems to be happening on your side. I've never had problems uploading the videos from the Kodak to Youtube. Have you tried upload it without editing the video?
@Outsourcinglive yes, when uploading single vids it is easy, the prob occurs when i try to splice short vids. it uploads as a group of individual vids overlapping each other on the screen. when i view the same vid with easyshare it is fine
What time of camcorder is good to use for doing cover songs? Sound quality is very important when doing this. One small mistake with the wrong recording situation and all of youtube is attacking you for sounding bad.
@Geneah78 I'd recommend the Canon T3i Rebel as I mentioned in my video. You will get excellent quality of videos. Just makes sure you get a good condensor mic to plug it into your video. I'm sure you will do well with this camera.
Hello from Mr TopStep com. We are looking for a camera to do quick videos from the trading floor. It has to be a set up that down loads quickly into YouTube and has a good mic or wireless mic because of all the noise on the floor. T3i is good but wont down load fast enough. Something that has perfect for uploading content to YouTube™ or multi-media devices but high end...
@doblecombo Hi, no it's not. It's an MOV file during the recording. Yes the small file is up on my website on this post. Lastly yes there is an option to capture moving targets in sports mode. Thanks.
@Outsourcinglive Nice bro thanks a lot! BTW, do you use a teleprompter, cause everything is so smoothly! PS: I've seen your face before, just dont know where
@devilspest You could. Though you will miss out on having the flip screen with the 600D and some extra upgraded quality options. If you can get the 600D, I'd recommend that one as it will save you the time as well.
@MrIpodtouchhelpers I personally haven't used the Sony video cam to record. The most important aspect as I mention is to ensure it has an external mic to capture good sound. Try the video cameras I recommend in the video first, as the Sony Camera you mentioned is discontinued... Thanks.
Thank you, this was very useful! I have a reflex (Sony Alpha) but It doesn't film videos, I was trying to understand If I could still use it connected with a cable to my pc but I read that you just ruin the lenses, you think it's true? In this case I'll buy the kodak it looks really nice :)
@HeyImNatalia Great question. There's a little trick for the Kodak Zi8, you will need to mount a mirror behind the camera with the tripod. Otherwise with the Canon T3i Rebel it has a flip screen so no need to use a mirror. That way I can see myself and be in focus. I also have a remote to press record too.
Hey Tyrone, can you please recommend a good inexpensive video camera for doing short 15-20 minute workout, cooking and video interviews. Thanks in advance
@chrissilverthong Hi Chris, the Kodak Zi8 is perfect for that and it's not expensive. Under $200.00. Plus it allows you to record for hours (depending on the size of your memory card). Thanks,
@chrissilverthong I use the Zi8 as well plus the Flip Mino HD and and an older Kodak that I have. I put the Flip over the stove and use the other two for the wide shots in my mini kitchen :-). Also, if you have an iPhone, Samsung Galaxy S II or an ipad2 they have pretty good cameras too. Just have to figure out how to mount them :-).
Tryone awesome video! What lapel mike did you buy to use with the Canon camera because I am going to buy this camera. Also since the files end up being very large, how do you reduce the size? Please advice
@HYVAssistant Good questions Owen. These questions will be answered in the next few videos as I've already created them about this. Anyway to answer them, it's a Condensor Lapel mic that you can buy from Tandy or Dick Smith. It's around $30 with a switch and uses a watch battery to power it. Also to reduce the file sizes I have a device called Elgato Turbo HD (Gideon recommended it) and it helps dramatically drop the file sizes. (that video is coming out shortly too) Thanks.
@HYVAssistant Oh yeah I forgot about the PC.. (hint hint, get a Mac!). Try Handbrake for PC, it allows you to convert the files as well. Hope that helps.
@Outsourcinglive will Miro Video converter work? I just bought the camera and now I am going to get serious about my videos. Thanks for the inspiration
@HYVAssistant The camera is excellent and I'm sure you are going to love it! I usually only use Miro Video Converter to do smaller files, as I've had it crash on really big files, which is why I've recommended using Handbrake. Try that first and let me know how you go?
@MrBrandonfigueroa Good question. I'm using a Canon 50mm F1.8. It's one of the easiest lens to use once it's setup as well. Maybe I should take a video apart and show people exactly how this gets setup, what do you think?
@Outsourcinglive that'd be useful. The reason I asked is because I just bought myself the same type of lens and when I saw your video, the depth of field looked similar. So I was just wondering.
I really admire how well you can speak in front of the camera by the way. I'm trying to master that skill right now.
@josemariasellanes My video editor uses Adobe Premier Pro to edit these files. We make them smaller first by running it through Handbrake, which shrinks them to about 40% of the size. Hope that helps.
@josemariasellanes It's around 300mb per min. So you could get around 1GB for a 3min video, and yes it's quite heavy. But worth the quality as you can see.
Thanks for the info, just subbed :)
