  • Awesome, ...if you have a death wish!! You have obviously never seen what happens when these things crash. Splat u like a bug :-)

  • From what I understand, these robots run on Microsoft Windows... I would not want to ride if that's the case.

  • looks so fun

  • here's how the conversation went a few minutes prior to the video: "We just spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a new robot assembly arm! What are we going to do with it?RIDE IT of course!"

  • looks fun but i work with these things and they sometimes have a mind of there own!!!

  • @hardhouseroolz Well maybe they can build it so that even if it malfunctions it won't do an bodily harm. Like it can only go so far to the ground or move so fast if it is unresponsive to the controller they can always kill the power.

  • @SolidSnake032486 as far as i know that can only be done manualy (correct me if im wrong) but i think some one must press an e stop button or release the dead man switch but at this speed human reaction times will be 2 slow

  • All fun and games till said robot arm becomes self-aware and smashes man's head into ground repeatedly.

  • i request two arms sword fighting

  • I've done this before, it's pretty fun lol.

  • robocoaster

    engineering abuse

  • that........ looks.....AWESOME!!!!!

  • Hi. Aprox by the year 2020 a laptop will reach the human brain potential for processing data which means that there is a huge market waiting for hundreds of billions dollars to be sold or invested in humanoid robots and intelligent systems and the beginning of the bigger industry ever maid in human history. Search on Google luisbeck007 you will find the most complete humanoid robot list in the World, good information and interesting issues.

  • I would hate to be getting "my turn" when the asteroid from "Maximum Overdrive" came into orbit!

ps nerd alert and over use of " ""'s " in one comment

  • nota 10, uauuuuuuuuuuu...

  • *O*

  • whoah

  • were do you ride those at

  • Brings new meaning to BSOD. (Yes I am aware this comment is two years old, I don't care.)

  • Second :06 he almost hits the ground oO

  • GM should hire out their robot arms for rides instead of making cars!

  • oh ok. nice point. yeah nice one. i laugh, yeah i laugh.

  • I wonder what would happen if someone accidentally regurgitated and it landed on the machine, wouldn't that cause the machine to malfunction?

  • isnt that X3

  • woa, that was insane!

  • ...why did this come up as a result for "flash mob" for me?

  • you are right, most of the time they don't fail but you CNC lathe is used in its nominal pay load. you did not attached any other things which are ackward to use. in this case they obviously attach a human being which was never considered in the design phase of the robot.

  • i think it's a fanuc robot, fanuc is a japanese company. they considered this stupid "redneck-like" act as a harrassment and they have the legal right to take the robot back. i just can't define these guys' stupidty. i just can't

  • As said down below, check out Legoland, even here in YouTube, there are vids of these robotcoasters. Remember that many things that are new are mainly considered as dangerous, such as TV before, it was said to fry kids' head and so on; such as the Internet, it's STILL considered wrongly by many. It's how you use it: if you abuse it, use it wrongly, well, bad results can happen. :)

I wonder if those robot coasters have been done by Fanuc...

  • i watched the videos you mentioned. they are specifically designed for entertainment purposes unlike this robot. robots which are designated for entertainment purposes have to hold many qualification standards and they are subject to many tests. plus, their motion is slower comparing to this one. this one is an industrial one and it is not safe as an entertainment robot.

  • They already have these in some theme parks...

  • as if i didnt explain the differences. welldone

  • that is stupid. i am studying robotics

    never do that.

  • Why not? o_O

  • these stupid people probably defining a trajectory in which the rider enjoys. meanwhile this trajectory is transformed into joint space using inverse kinematics. at the same time if there is a slide kinematics or a servo failure in any of the joint, other joints may act in maximum torque. so that this rider could be torn into two pieces. this robot can't break his head it just tears it from the body. you youtubers can't estimate the total mechanical power in case of undesired singulatiry etc

  • Well, I understand a bit more now, but try tell this in Legoland in California: there's a similar robot for kids there.

One thing though: yes, it can be dangerous, but sometimes theories can differ from practicality. I've been working with a CNC lathe for 8 years and in all this time it has failed only a coupla times via software (now it's mechanically wearing out, but it's another thing!), and this machine has more than 15 years.

  • "in Legoland in California: there's a similar robot for kids there. "

they are as similar as RC electric car and ship's power plant.

  • i know one of the guys tht makes those too. he came to our school and talked to us. and he tole us to watch this

  • i know the guy that makes tose robots and he said he would never do that caz, they are most likey programmed wrong and it is really dangerous

  • i wish I could be on dat

  • woah

if you are black, that would sound like some sorta wierd sex fantasy

  • look....don't do dat...aaight??? You know nothin' about me and I'm not gonna LOWER myself to your level by sayin' racist and stupid things like yaself. I'm probably a way bigger and more knowledgable roller coaster enthusiast than you! So save that shit fa ya family and when you done you can send those ignorant THOUGHTS of yours back where they came from...HELL. Have a nice one. Blessin's

  • OMG I'm sooo sorry.

I didn't realise that you are a christian.

i'm sorry, I thought it would be a funny thing to say, but i managed to make a complete and utter fool out of myself in front of a complete stranger.

once again, I apologise to God, Martin Luther King Jnr and to you.

    (HAPPY NOW)

  • ...always. You don't stop my show dude... and don't forget to apologize to ya momma unless she rasied you like that. I'm glad you realize I'm Christian. No hard feelin's. Like I said...you don't know me, and once again...Blessin's

  • actualy i dont have a mom. she died in a car crash when i was 5, so she didn't raise me.

    but yer...

  • well that goes to show why you have personal issues that you choose to not work with but to lash out on otha folks cause dude I don't know you.... and would neva INITIATE disrespect towards you.

  • holy shit, i mean jesus christ. come on

all i di was make a joke n its turned into a racial dispute then into a person mental atack.

    get over yourself

  • That would be nice in shops. Every single one of dads are in line and babies are crying.

  • lmao

  • those are fanuc robotics robots

  • heheheeh crazy cool!

  • man thats awesome, next, try lifting the whole thing on a higher stand and going at full speed! XD puke everywhere!

  • This kind of powerful industrial robots is not for fun. It could easily kill the guy.

  • ok, cycle time! Cage and helmet. Nice servos! the logic is beyond me. have it cut off if too much torque is applied at a sequence. I see you at Six Flags!!

  • hello

  • i love this movie

  • i wanna see this robot going insane

  • ... okey, then press "replay"

  • i want one for home! :D

  • I tried that today, with a twice that big KUKA-robot.

    Funny as h**l

  • the soon to come Pixar's THE INCREDIBLES RIDE will be very some wat like this...jsut a heads up on a disney sceret

  • wow thats a silly thing to do with an expensive piece of engineering equipment.

  • Itn't a Ferrari a much more expensive piece of equipment? Why not buy an industrial robot for the fun of it. People do stupid things with whatever they can get their hands on.

  • Seems like they need to raise it higher off the ground..

  • hes to tall for this ride his feet touc the ground hahah

  • i wanna go it looks sooo cool!!!!!! brilll

  • So cool!!

But you're lucky your ass didn't get slammed into the concrete.

  • @SpaceShuttleLuna it's not luck

  • @SpaceShuttleLuna pretty sure that it's programmed not to go under a certain depth, making it not luck at all.

  • That is just like the Knights Kingdom ride at lego land but at lego land it has two seats

  • really cool thingy there, doesn't look all that safe after all, suppose he was like 10 cm larger...

  • indeed, with electric motors you get all the torque from the start, but with petrol engines it needs to get up to speed.

  • That looks DANGEROUS!

I /might/ go on one if it was higher.

  • This easily proves just how much better torque electric motors have compared to gas engines. If this had 2 cycle gas engines moving each joint then it would be slow and weak and the engines would stall out every time it lifted him!!

  • They act. got a ride like this out in a Theme Park its in Lego Land in California not a cheap joke they was right on it but maybe should change a couple things in the program cause he almost got road rash on the top of his head lol

  • Next US/CIA torture toy?

    OK, it's a cheap joke.

  • I am SO gonna buy one;D Yeah right.. How much?

  • they are extremely expensive

  • actually there loaned from car companys for people who are manufacturing the production line, ive worked with that exact model, beleve me that can carry a car frame, a person wont break it

  • yeah they are from production lines and there are different types of them.... but Fanuc Robotics sell them to the car companies.

  • cool didnt know that

  • i want one!!!!

    gimme a cool robot ride r at least make 1 4 me r a park!!!!! plz O_O

  • where i could buy one? :D

  • yo quiero uno de esos¡¡¡¡

  • yea shur its looks fun n all but did you see? his legs were touching the ground so imagin that your legs can fall off or be scrached and also your head can hit the ground badly witch is fuking dangerouse i would go on it if it would be more hyer

  • I wanna robot ride...

    *Ninja*

  • LOL Another robot to clean vomit? ;P

  • O my god that look so MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love tht machine...

  • if you just drag the thing past where it stops u can c the rest of the video

  • its stops at 53 seconds..:/

    FUN THOUGH!!!:)

    I WANNA COME!!!:)

  • If MaskedMuffin12 goes on there, I'm hoping he will hit his head hard.

  • omg dat mst b well scary lol......:)

  • shit his head got pretty close at the start! Hilarious though...good idea

  • the more you watch it, the more you want a robtic of your own. aka

    that looks fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • man lets not go off the deep end here

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!!

  • I wanna go!

  • pretty awesome idea but the video wouldn't load half way through odd.... nice vid

  • GROOOOOOOOOOSSOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • that would make me sick

  • Check out the colour of the guys face towards the end of the clip... talk about beetroot ;)

  • that looks fun!!!!!!

  • that machine could probably slam the guy's head into the ground ... VERY VERY dangerous ... plus he has no helmet. lol. *SPLAT!!*

  • thats kl, dont nasa use them to see wot its like in zero gravity?

  • ha i wanna ride that... minus the way it gets ur head almost embedded into the ground lol

  • lol

  • damn. his head's still on.

  • the guy laffs like a disabled guy!! lol!

  • id laff if he was sick while spinning around, it would go everywhere

  • haha wont be so funny when the software goes wrong and kill's someone

  • Sensors and on board diagnostics will prevent that! just like an exhaust leak on a car will tell you an oxygen sensor is faulty. Stupid humans!

  • That looks fun.

  • dude let me try

  • omg thats nuts, i wonder if any 1 hit their head during the testing?

  • i would do that lmao

  • I want to see him hit his head lmao.

  • you r sik

  • that looks like so much fun where is that?

  • rotfl

  • man i wanna try that, look sweet

  • looks dangerous, fun though

  • MY TURN!

  • Oh man that looks freaking cool

  • dude that was sweet! i wish i could try that

  • the robot is actually me

  • omg i would barf

  • wow! great

  • wow gr8

  • tht must be well fun!! lol

  • FUCKING FREAK!

  • wtf?

  • haha

  • that looks fun!

  • i went on a ride like that at the fair

  • Pwned lol

  • holy shit he could of got is head smeared on the concrete lol i went on one of thoes in wisconsin but it was higher off the ground and pricks got to shoot water at you for 25 cents lol

  • isnt there a ride like that at a fair? except alot higher and more people on it

  • Yeah, at least at the los angeles county fair. And it is a LOT bigger, but with more seats and similar programmed motion.

  • im glad im not him, he almost got his head smashed into the ground O.o

  • lol, look fun, id feel verry sick after that!!!

  • that is one of the funniest videos i have watched

  • I want this. see, this is what robots where meant for; amusing humans.

  • So now i know what im gona be doing with my time ¬.¬

  • O.K., what exactly keeps this thing from using that guys head like a pencil eraser on the floor ?? Is it programming?, engineered safety stop?,or a distance kill switch??

  • I think its luck

  • I want that thing.

  • that looks so friggen sweet lol!

  • i want that rofl

  • Robot pwns the crap outta guy in a chair XD

  • that looks like fun

  • Wow. o.O

  • Thats at Legoland

  • I want this 1 for X-mas 2008 daddy Plz!!!

  • u guys r idiots

  • wow that must feel really wierd

  • MY TURN!!!!

  • omg tht looks like soooo much fun

  • shit! what a crap ^^

  • Try programing it from in the chair!

  • for a while i thought the machine would hold him on the ground and start turning and grinding his body against the ground

  • Yes, I thought it was "Robot goes nuts, mashes guys head on floor!" Great that Robots can't think independently YET.

  • Brilliant - risking your life on a machine that could easily malfunction and kill you. I don't think a lot of people here realize how dangerous that really was. Ignorance is bliss.

  • adisharr, so quick to place judgement. Do you realize that everyday millions of people place their lives into the hands of machines? Think before you type. Ignorance is bliss.

  • Lol, shut up. Who cares? You can't have any fun if you don't take any risks in life. You boring git.

  • Have you ever been in a car?

  • Looks like fun!

You should try doing another vid from in the chair.

  • Great IDEA !!!!! That would be awesome!

  • He came DANGEROUSLY FUCKING CLOSE to getting his HEAD DRAGGED across the ground there.

  • I soooo want to try this. -mon
