Uyuni was an icy moon from a far away planet called MinoTaur. Uyuni or Huyunious broke away from it is orbit and hit planet Earth as a rain of salt. Huyunious was similar to Saturn's mysterius gyser-speweing moon Enceladus.

July-August is winter in Bolivia. In rainy season it's quite hot in the day. You can wear t-shirt. At night it could drop to 3 deg C.
