  • 'The Whispering Wind' has many secrets...

    this was one of them... until she got 'Restless'... this song is full of enchantment and poetry.

    Thank-you for sharing

  • Golliwogg APPROVES of this song.

  • Winds blowing, tides rising, clouds obscured, and Northern dispositions in full flood;

    aw' wha's like us....

  • Simply the best acid folk track of the 60s - bands like Forest , ISB , Trees , Spirogyra produced the most exciting music I've ever heard - those were the halcyon days , for certain. The trad scene over the last 20 years is utterly dire - Kate Rusby anyone ?

  • I am amazed i found this here i was given this track by a friend in the early eighties on a casette which is losing quality fast now , the quality which moves me on this is the horse movement allied with the words which take you somewhere else ,which stands out in this performance,it is the bells shaken in rythym which highlight this giving it a wholly different but, yearned for quality.

  • Haven't heard anything by Forest for years. Another of those LP's that I used to have.

  • Such an amazing song by an underrated band... thanks for posting!

  • just discovered this....I love the vocal...the imagery...the forest theme...

  • this was the track that got me into folk. i always thought it was jolly shit sang by guys in wooly jumpers. i saw a darker, pagan side after hearing this. in fact the whole album is amazing.
