you know this song is the 1 song in sonic that realy defines sonic and would be a good theme for him ... if sonic teem hadn't butcherd his personality in sonic adventure seriosly think about it, it was a great game but it was the begining of hell for the franchise

@awayofgreen12 It's subjective, man. Sonic didn't have all that much of a personality before SA anyway, since he didn't talk. All you could really tell is that he didn't like waiting around. For me, the point Sonic started tanking was when 4kids came around. Sonic X started a trend in the games of Sonic being really calm and friendly; not at all like what we'd been lead to imagine him as all along. I contend that Shadow the Hedgehog was the beginning of hell, but your viewpoint is your viewpoint

@DocRavage I agree with this entirely, the strange thing is, according to Sega, Sonic is still impatient and hottempered though they don't write it into the games.

Though I'm not sure about Sonic X 'starting the trend,' in Sonic X he's a bit of a snarker and a loner, not the uber-freindly guy we see in the newer games.

If you ask me, Sonic Heroes started it, with the previously stubborn and reserved Sonic suddenly being into 'teamwork' and sprouting out phrases like "We're Sonic heroes!"

The thing about Heroes was that is was sort of necessary for Sonic to say such things due to the game's plot, but I still sensed some attitude. The encounter with Team Dark comes to mind.

As for Sonic X, I never watched the 4kids version, but seeing as how they bastardize anime and how I thought Sonic was too nice when he was around people in the version I watched, I naturally thought it got even worse in the dub. But I may be mistaken.

@DocRavage I'd forgotten, Sonic did sort of start out that way in Sonic X, but it eventually got kind of lost, I think it was becuase Sonic X was trying to mirror the games though.

Sonic's portayal wasn't one of the ones that were much different in the dub, though it had Jason's unbearable first attempt at Sonic's voice.

In Sonic Heroes I can get that Sega just wanted a spinoff with teamwork as the main theme and no story, but Sonic's rediculous 'motivational oneliners' really wernt neccisary.
