a arrancar is created like so. hollows start to eat each other. once they have eaten enough, they turn into Gillians (pointy nose ones). then if a gillian eats enough, it becomes and adjucha (bad spelling). adjuchas eat eachother to become vasto lorde. then Aizen uses the hogyoku to remove the barier between hollows and soul reapers to make them an arrancar. the arrancar is numbered. 1-10 is an espada 11+ just an arrancar.
