  • Is this Rome or Medieval total war?

  • @IAMDUTCHMAN1581

    Medieval 2 Total War

  • its actually 1000 muslims vs 200000 romans

  • You should do this on Broken Crescent, that Mod is sick.

  • I forget to mention that most of the Roman Byzantine army was from eastern europe, russians, georgians, armenians etc.

  • @funnyarabvids roman greeks :P

  • this is a crucial battle for islam if arabs lost this battle then there is no islam remains today.

  • Every Muslim warrior had 2 angels helping him to kill many crusaders or disbelievers.

  • when i am in the battlefield i love it more than when i am in my house .....the great KHALID BIN WALEED .RA.

  • this battle is lol

    can not be

  • @Jun0w13 It happened in real life so you say it cant be.

  • @Jun0w13 read history ... brainwashed un educated man

  • Wiki - "estimates for the Byzantine army are mostly between 80,000 and 120,000, with some estimates as low as 50,000 and 15,000–20,000."

  • @boru1982

Thats true, Arab records also say about the same numbers that th romans had about 100000 to 150000, I dont remember good, but what you don't mension is that you are not including the christian Arabs of the north (ghassanids and lakhmids kingdoms) who also fought with the roman army, they where also about 100000, so the total Roman Byzantine army was about 250000.

  • 'Pure luck'? No. Luck doesn't come into it when the 'Chosen People' are involved. After all, they were 540 Arabs fighting against 4.5 million Byzantines at Yarmouk, right!?

  • @boru1982 wrong info ! to be exact 250.000 romans against 36.000 Muslim the war ended with the defeat of Romans with no surviving soliders while Muslims lost 4000 solider

  • @SR86egy

it was round 40.000 so dont say wrong info.

khalid ibn al walid used major tacic never used before

    mobile guard!

  • @saddie15 Dude i read it on wikipedia google it

  • @SR86egy To be exact? Not one historian can be exact. I have no idea why you think you can be. Have you got a source for this very unlikely number? Off the top of my head try reading Louis Bréhier, Michael Angold, J.F Haldon or Jonathan Shepard. What are your sources?

  • @boru1982 my source is Wikipedia google it you might be correct though i only read it on wikipedia

  • You are all a bunch of fucking morons, thinking you know exactly what somebody believed nearly 2500 years ago just because it was the general custom. Saddie, everything you say is full of shit. How did one of your bullshit comments get thumbed up so much. I'll tell you why. Its because the muslims will believe anything that romanticises their religion and makes it look good.

  • @boru1982

    George F. Nafziger:

"Although Yarmouk is little known today, it is one of the most decisive battles in human history...... Had Heraclius' forces prevailed, the modern world would be so changed as to be unrecognizable."

  • @zeshy999 I do not disagree, however that would probably be the case with many many battles throughout history. If Heraclius' forces had prevailed it would've still been only a matter of time before the Arabs would take it. By the 660s the Byzantines had lost Syria, Egypt, Tunisia, Cyprus and even Armenia. They were pushed all the way back to Anatolia. Don't forget Constantinople was fighting on both eastern and western(Avars, Slavs, Bulgars) front.

  • @boru1982

then whats "muslims will believe anything that romanticises their religion and makes it look good." meant to mean.

  • @zeshy999 look at the second highest rated comment and all will be revealed.

  • @zeshy999 The Persian Wars seriously weakened the Byzantines. By 619 Heraclius had given up all hope and was even seriously considering moving the capital to the West. The reason Islam lives today has nearly as much to do with the Persians as it does with the Arabs.

  • @boru1982 ironic - yet still the Byzantine's could gather an army 5 or 6 times the size as the Muslim one with the best armour, swords, archers, horses etc.

the Muslims had limited access to weapons and no supply to armour with only a few horses.

your theory is proven wrong because it doesn't pan out, at yarmouk Christians from all over came to fight including the Slavs, Franks, Georgians, Armenian's,- gathering an army of 400,000. so no they weren't weak I'd say they were in their prime.

  • @zeshy999 Heraclius' victory over the Persians was a Pyrrhic victory. If you don't think thats the case then you're disagreeing with every scholar. Why do you think the Arabian conquest of the eastern empire was so quick!? Heraclius had to muster an untrained army together to fight at Yarmouk. The Slavs were the Byzantines' enemies at the time and I've no idea how you think the Merovingian Franks were apart of this. But your estimation 400,000 proves my 1st post - To romanticise your religion.

  • @boru1982 he had 6 years after the Persians to bring an army together and train it - 6 years, that's long and enough time to raise, train and get it ready to fight- also like I said at yarmouk he was aided by other Christians the Arabs, Slavs, Armenian's etc. the fact of the matter is the Muslims crushed an army 10 times the size of theirs and before you say it agen ' romanticise your religion' how do you know I'm even Muslim?

  • @zeshy999 The Byzantines were fighting the Franks in Gaul, the Lombards in Italy, the Visigoths in Spain and were already heavily depleted in the East by the Persians. They didn't have 6 years to build an army because the last thing they would've expected was an Arab assault. The Arab tribes at the time were just that. They were tribes that Heraclius felt didn't pose a threat.Heraclius used them against Persia as Khusro used them against the Empire. As i said he had no time to train an army.

  • @boru1982 at the end of the day you believe Islam survives today because the Byzantine's were weakened by other threats and its pure luck that today its gathered so much followers.

my belief is that they had faith and Almighty G-d was on their side.

  • Arabs fight with hearts the never step back on a fight even if they haven't got the weapons ,, Arabs is great and God is the greatest ^_^

  • Shogun ? ^^'

  • WHERE CAN I GET THE FULL ENGLISH VERSION OF BATTLE OF YARMOUK? THANKS.

  • no matter how many enemies are there... muslim will win! allah is the greatest! i love how the roman cavs run towards the archers and stop when they get to the muslims first line! :D hahahah

  • no matter how many enemies are there... muslim will win! allah is the greatest!

  • dude battle of yarmouk was 250.000 romans againt 40.000 muslims,

  • @saddie15 quarter of a million Byzantines???? You must be joking. Most of the Byzantine army were in the Balkans fighting the Avars and Slavs. Even 90,000 troops is over-exaggerating the number.

  • @boru1982

alexander the great won a war against dariusIII

alexander strenght was 35.000 against 200.000 persians

alexander believed in the 1god as we muslims do.

ever heard of the gog&magog? he build the wall for them

  • @saddie15 actually alexander the great believed in the greek mythological gods

  • @videonfan

haha no he believed in the 1god as the muslims are now.

alexander the great is even in the muslims book quran.

  • @saddie15 -.- islam was founded in 636.alexander the great was around 430 before christ!HOW CAN HE COME TO BELIEVE IN YOUR GOD IF THERE WAS NO MONOTHEISM THERE?IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE!

Everyone knows he sacrificed to the greek gods and that he became the persian heir by conquest.Your statement makes no sense

  • @videonfan

haha how he can believe in our god (allah)?

i will tell you something jews, christians and islam believe in 1god(same god)

and before moses there was alot of other messangers that god send.

to believe in the 1 god and alexander did also believed.

  • @saddie15 alexander didn't believe in one god he believed in the many gods of the hellenic pantheon because he grew up in that religion. If you told me about plisophophers of ancient greece which DID believe in the one and unkown god then i wouldn't argue but this hasn't got historical proof. Also you say the monotheistic religions believe in one god.yes true but then why do you keep saying your god?

  • @saddie15 ill send you in private because youtube won't let me

  • @videonfan alexander isn't the person saddies thinks hes talking about. it is dhul qurnain who built the wall for G&M , he was a man sent by God. historians believe alexander and dhul quranain are 1 and the same but they have many differences also y do u say 'YOUR GOD' - the 1 God that came to Muhammed (pbuh) is the same that came to Abraham(pbuh), Isaac (pbuh), Jacob (pbuh). Allah, Jehovah, Elohim are all 1 and the same regardless to the names given.

    peace

  • @saddie15 to be exact 250.000 romans against 36.000 Muslim the war ended with the defeat of Romans with no surviving soliders while Muslims lost 4000 solider

  • @saddie15 If Romans had Republican military standard, then Romans will win this war.

Befor muslim, has been a long extensive/ debilitating war, from 56 b.c. to 636 with Parthians and Sassanids.

And the East Roman army in 7.century has been a half barbaric and poorly armed.

  • Always Arabs Number One :) I Means muslims Not juste arab But Evry Musim

    salam alikoum

  • the info is wrong the byzantines were 310000 not 90000, there loss in battle field was above 150000

  • Comment removed

  • the battle is unrealistic the byzantines were better and more than the arabs but they made critical stratigic errors

  • @MegaChristaras arab always win

  • @mrsarabico i say again byzantines were beeter adn far superior , but they made critical strategic errors thats the thruth dude

  • @MegaChristaras maybe

  • @mrsarabico Even if they did there numbers were at 5:1 skilled warrior should of ATLEAST won against the Muslims who were PEASANTS AND old people with torn up clothing so there MUST of been some spiritual being to help them there were deficient in weaponry and armor compared to the Byzantines as well. .

  • @Khan12078 can u explain it for me brother

  • @mrsarabico in what way brother

  • @Khan12078 ok no problem thanks

  • Good attempt.

People who want this video to be 100% accurate have obviously never played the Total War series lol

But good attempt, only thing i will say is there should be far more Byzantines on the field since they outnumbered the Muslims vastly. Also they used the famous Tortoise formation which cant really be replicated.

A good little video, but obviously a simplification of that epic battle!

  • good job

  • the battle wasn't in the dessert.

And the Crescent was the flag of the Ottoman empire .

    thanks

  • @temogen2 what ottomons ? battle of Yarmook was at the life of the prophet Mohmmad .اللهم صلي على سيدنا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم there wasn't any ottomons by that time , and actually it was in the desert just right by their castle
