  • Pork*

  • @thehoundchannel are you retarded? 1. i have never had a beef hamburger in my life and 2. i have not had a prok chop sandwitch because i am not a fat ass like you. and eating a chicken wing is a stupid comparison. unless your stating that you go up to live chickens and eat their wings, because i am pretty sure that cricked was a live one.

  • @thehoundchannel your saying since crickets dont live forever you can just execute them by making a plant crush them? you realyl are sick man end of discussion

  • @GamerTopHat uhhh Have you ever eaten a beef hamburger? or a pork chop sandwich? or even a chicken wing? That is EXACTLY the same thing that is going on in this video.

  • @thehoundchannel

except no-thats not whats going on- the animals that you eat in a burger are dead, and most of the time are tranquilized before they're killed, but this cricket was alive, and felt pain. you are a sick human being.

  • looks like its not a very healthy trap

  • This video was amusing. All the haters need to realize it's a fucking bug.

  • @darkjak224

your just a dick. just cos its a bug doesnt mean it doesnt have a nervous system. it still feels pain. youre just a douche

  • The cricket didn't own the flytrap, it owned you. And the trap watched and laughed :P

  • in any case....the crickets way too big for the trap

  • lol the cricket was smart... till it decided to go swimming in a pitcher plant

  • lmao i dont know about everyone else but i found it hilarious how the dude got mad :o

  • 1. These plants still alive without any animals!!!

    2. Too much Flys or other animals are deadly for these plants!!!

    3. Your VFT looks poor and ill, the trap is so poweless, that it won't close!!!

    4. Do you give them normal Water? Take always rain water!!!

    5. It seems that you use these plants as a toy....

    Lucky

  • Owning the trap? eccentric. Force-feeding the trap? cruel. Executing the cricket with the other plant? demented. Posting it on youtube for lulz? PSYCHOPATH.

  • Disagreeing with the natural cycles of life and death and predator vs. pray.... dumb. Commenting about it. rude.

  • @thehoundchannel putting the bug in is not part of the natural life cycle of life and death

  • @thehoundchannel What the fuck is natural about what you did in this video!?! Holy shit you really are retarded, you don't even understand why people hate you.

  • @saeklin Ok so naturally crickets live forever? OK that's new to me.

  • This is an awesome video :)

  • *Sigh* People are so touchy, he was only trying to feed his plant, then he realised it wasn't hungry so he left it! The bug was going to die whichever way :P

  • YOU are a lucky bug...

  • Dude you're a sadistic fuck, let nature do it's work, and don't just try to poke insects in it, and then combine it all in a shitty video with slapped in cheesy fucking music that just confirms your dumbfuckery

  • @gaastra12 WHOA! Calm down man! It's just a video...

  • @thehoundchannel Oh, so it didn't happen.

  • @thehoundchannel no its not just a video, im pretty sure it happened in real life

  • @gaastra12 by the looks of this, you're just a green man that's never had fun with a bad sense of humor that thinks he can make everything an insult by addin "dumbfuckery" at the end. one cricket doesn't really make a difference in the world. I can't imagine you when someone steps on an ant! Fuck, I bet that really freaks you out.

  • @gaastra12 wtf are you talking about? Theres nothing wrong with feeding a bug to a plant that eats bugs, its the platns job you dumb fuck. People who have pet lizards, snakes, fish, they feed them bugs and small animals. Why? So they dont die you fucking idiot. Your saying its wrong to kill bugs like this? Have you never stepped on an insect because you wanted too? You see a spider in your house, and killed it instead of getting a jar to bring it outside? So shut the fuck up and stop commenting.

  • LEAVE ME ALONE I'M NOT HUNGRY

Fine, how about you, Mr. Tube Plant?

  • If it wanted the cricket, it would be called a Venus Cricket Trap. Actually, are there any predatory insects for the venus fly trap? Will bugs eat the plant?

  • hey um wat plant is the one at this time 1:14/2:13?

  • hmm....well, i tried with my venus fly trap and it turned brown in a day and never ate again

  • sorry, wat i ment to say was, dont try to close the trap, wont eat ever again

  • @kooldude987788609 well, uhh it ate again so that is wrong too... do you even know what your talking about?

  • Sorry for my stupid comment

  • dont torture the poor plant! im ok with the cricket dieing but maybe the plants not hungry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVER THINK OF THAT?! HUH?!

  • @kooldude987788609 OK really. The problem is that it wasn't getting enough sun. It's not because it was over fed (and if it was it can't tell it is so it will eat anyway).

  • @kooldude 987788609

Ok now, carnivorous plants don't ever have a hungry moment or a not hungry moment ok? It doesn't mean that if its hungry, the trap will shut and if it not hungry, the trap will not shut OK!!!!!

  • @kooldude987788609 There is never a hungry or not hungry venus flytrap. Have YOU ever had a greenhouse full of venus flytraps or any other carnivorous plant? Huh? Huh?

  • Comment removed

  • your plants are unhealthy, hence the lack of trap closure

  • I cant believe you killed the cricket! Thats not a good reward for surviving a venus fly trap]:(

  • poor cricket! how would you feel if you where put in one of those?? im gunna get a venus fly trap but im only gunna put my finger in it and play with it! ;p

  • @babiebuntin you are an idiot if u will do that it will die thease plants are not toys :(

  • @wilgax1 oh well i'm not even going to get one now i realized their really gay! ;P and if i did get one i don't really care if it dies they are only like $10 XD

(im not an idiot hehehe just kidding i am! :p )

  • @babiebuntin oh well plants do live 2

  • @wilgax1 ???

  • @babiebuntin nvm

  • @wilgax1 ok

  • damn venus ^^

  • lol fly trap didnt work so you put him in a pitcher plant haha

  • lol you really dont like crickets do you

  • purple pitcher plants rule

  • idiots u cant just put the cricket in the fucking plant, u hav to touch the feelers, morons

  • @bloodstone411 um duh he did that

  • the cricket was like*dane cook voice*"NOT TODAY YA BASTARD"

  • its a fucking cricket shut the fuk up stop complaining.

  • That fly trap was slow xD,mines a fucking killer,as soon as I put something near it it'll bite

  • this happened because the plant was stimulated to close, too often without there being food for it in the trap. touching too much, or too much calcium in the water or insect will cause the plant to stiffen up and not be able to close!

  • its just not hungry!

    ^^

  • haha i think you need to change the battery in the plant :P lmao

  • no offence but ur trap looks mad unhealthy,

  • lol.. ur plant isnt hungry!!

  • i think your plant is on the verge of dying....???? idk.. maybe there wasn't enough energy left in the plant to spring the trap since it looks like a lot of the other ones are already closed

  • i love how if this animal was not an insect, there would be so much hate about how its animal abuse lol

  • Fly Trap: fuck you, I'm on a diet

  • Poor cricket

  • Maybe it was full? D:

  • LOLZ PWNED

  • what did that cricket get caught in?

  • Did you know it's against the law to own a Pitcher Plant...considering they are an endangered species of plant.

  • @sexaly19 its illegal to own one that is gathered from the wild. All pitcher plants from nursery's were raised in labs.

  • hahaha not hungry today!

  • OK, this made me laugh. I don't, normally watching the net...

  • That plant looks dead.

  • your overfeeding your trap. fly traps evolved to live in the absense of care. If you feed it more than 2 times a month its to much if you use fertiliser it will kill it . if you give it direct sun or not enuff indirect sun it will burn. best results are after you let a trap fully open. It will bend back totaly concave the one you wer trying to trigger was not open fully. Only thing you can do regulary is lots of water and 50% humidity

  • @eadthem most of what you said is bs....

  • lol i just cant stop watching this vid this thing happend to my ppant so i leave it alone and now it have a flower :)

  • it was his lucky day.more like unlucky day.what plant plant did u put mr. cricket in to kill him since the so called VFT didnt clamp shut in it's ass

  • "dude, i dont want to eat your effin cricket!" get a clue! haha...

  • that trap probally reached its limt. after about a dozen captures or so, the become typicall leaves

  • I'd love to have one of those plants. I would be happier than a tornado in a trailer park!

  • I think your plant might be broken... =P

You might want to send it back to the manufacturer for repairs.

  • @5THunderlord he only had a 1 year warranty

  • I tried to feed my venus fly trap hamburger once when I was 6... it died :(

  • i lold xD

  • @leoclay1 u cant feed it with a hamburger it only eats flys or bugs :)

  • @wilgax1 yeah.. didnt know that when I was 6 lol

  • @leoclay1 lol

  • lol i think your fly trap was full. looked like it had a few other leaves with stuff in em already

  • Sarracenia purpurea is great plant!!! :D:D

  • Cricket vs venus fly trap...

    I win

  • yep, if it's any consolation to the cricket, I think the venus fly trap is either stupid (no offense to you or your plant) or dead...

  • yeah... give the cricket to the pitcher plant.

  • that cricket totally earned his stripes, next time that happens let him live!

  • If I "let him live" he'll just get caught in a spider web or eaten by a bird within an hour -_-

  • @thehoundchannel I dunno, he's a scrapper.

  • tu riche , nul .. mieux obsever la nature faire ...

  • tha plant dont look too healthy

  • i live in the middle east! is this plant expensive ?? i hope i can find one !

  • Cost six US dollars at Lowe's

  • @yazanarabiat no they go by 8 dolars to 15 dolars on amazon

  • @yazanarabiat what state?

  • This is animal cruelty... wtf. When the cricket escaped victory, you should have just let him go...

  • Fail

  • lol

  • lmaaooo that cricket know whats up ! he aint tryna go in there !

  • man! people try to kill so many insects that god creates, well i feel bad for that cricket! he was scared to death and he was squeezing him with that thing to death! people try to kill so many insects. its terrible. whether it would be any kind of insect i would feel SO SORRY for that bug.

  • I dont! I hope that cricket suffer!!!! MUHAHAHHAHA But more seropusly, what do you want the plant to eat if not bugs?

  • your so mean.

  • Well sorrrry if I dont have a soft spot in my heart for crickets that I feed by the dozen to my bearded dragon.

  • whatever. you dont like gods creations. thats sad

  • Ok first of all, what makes you think I beleive in god? Second of all, if god wants somthing to live he will let it live. IF he started evereything, then evereything that happens now is a result of what he started. So i other words we have no choice.

  • well do you believe in god?

  • I know I don't. And besides, if he didn't kill that polluting cricket, his oxygen making plant would die. And 'god' kills creatures every single fucking day. Why not kill a creature for good use? (This is why I hate Christians and religion. They don't use a single brain cell before they speak)

  • well there is no need to cuss. and what you said was mean

  • Okay I'm sorry about saying that part in the ----( )'s I didn't mean it. I just got broken up with... Sorry.

  • ok. what part did u say in the ( )s???? i didnt get what that ment

  • @TheLenism

first shut the fuck up and the majority of people who claim there christians have never even studied the abrahamic scriptures and you can't just read them over night, to read them you have to know latin, hebrew, and old english. it has taken people years to thoroughly read them all and decades to understand it.

and for those who in doubt look up job 40:15-24 it explains its self

btw I go hunting every season

  • wait... you put crickets in your pants?

  • Yep :D they sure love their crickets! lol I even fed my S. purpurea (plant at end of vid) mouse poop at the begginning of the growing season back in march... my plant atleast tripled in size and has grown a dozen beautiful pitchers! it also ate a few flies, caught lots of ant, and even ate a black widow I fed it!! S purpurea is curently my fav Sarracenia.

  • I know how you feel. I especially feel remorse towards the thousands of animals that are slaughtered every day for human consumption. :(

  • LOL, aww.

  • from what i have read you should only feed your traps insects which are 1/3 of the size of the trap. I have lost a few traps by feeding them insects that are too big.

  • hahaha awesome, stupid Mr.Lucky god told

  • lol I read about that last kind of plant the one at the end of the vid. and I forgot how it keeps the insect to stay in there.

  • I think your plant is death...

  • Did you just kill the Cricket with the Nepenthes Carnivorous? That's cheap and low. You even reinforced the Venus Fly Trap.

  • if its that smart let it go your bad

  • Was it dormant? I plan on buying a few crickets for my VFT collection since it's so hard to catch enough flies inside my screened-in greenhouse.

  • fake......you are helping the VFT to win

  • god that cricket is smart enough to know it's going to die if it stays in the fly trap. So you reward it by killing it . Wow that really nice of you. And P.S. did you think that thing in the end of the movie that says that no fly traps where harmed but crickets where harmed is funny 'cause it's really stupid.

  • Made this quit a while ago and I am aware that the stuff at the end is stupid.

Maybe I was trying to punish the cricket not reward it?If I let the cricket go for being "smart" (even though this was the flytrap's failure to close not the cricket's cunning to run) it would just end up in a spider web.

Thank you for your concerns though, Sir/Mam.

  • @thehoundchannel I agree its a criket anyways so why are people getting worked up about it XD

  • not hungry?

  • that cricket was as big as your vft. it's food is supposed to be 1/3 of it's size. fail.

  • Maybe it doesn't like the taste of cricket?

  • Wow if I find an insect that good at surviving I usually reward it by letting it go. You punish it by killing it. I think you may need some therapy. Or else have the unfortunate luck of running into your superiors. Cause there's no good reasoning behind what you're doing. You don't even let the plant catch the insect. You put them in with tweezers! Twisted.

  • wow dude you insulted this guy for something like this? you need therapy

  • Do you let a cat catch it's food? Or a dog, parrot or fish? No. You feed them. You also feed plants. Not this guys fault his plants happen to be carnivorous. He's taking care of his plants. That's what a good plant owner does.

  • its a cricket and is he going to just not feed his plants?

  • @camshaft999 considering that these plants, due to consumer demand by 13 year olds who like feeding bugs to plants, are going extinct in their natural habitat, he could have not bought this plant and let both the cricket and the plant live and die in the wild.

  • @roxyloveriley These plants are not collected from the wild. They are grown form seed, cutting, division, or tissue culture in labs. Crickets are also bred by the thousand for people to feed to there pets and can be bought at pet stores for like 10 cent each.

  • All those other traps were closed. I think the flytrap didn't have any more energy to close that one lol

  • The flytrap became a vegetarian!

    Oh, irony.

  • What was that plant at the end with the liquid substance in it?

  • you squased the heck outta the cricket with the tweezers. fail

  • maybe it died

  • The flytrap is brain-dead!

  • maybe the cricket is too big

  • neah i don't think so since they can eat frogs

  • maybe its full

  • No offence but if that were the case the trap would be closed...

  • lmao...the song to rocky comes on, then a few seconds later "what the fuck"..then again...then again...

that fucking cricket is crafty, then you put it into the other one lmfao..

  • I have a good website if you need it. flytrapcare. com who can answer all your questions and help you care for your plant properly.

  • Every vid about venus flytraps u allways say join flytrapcare. com ... Im getting pretty sick of seeing all those around..... Its a cool website though whats ur name on it cus ive joined the website. Mynes Cicca205 Whats urs

  • im just trying to get more users and help people.

you should go to the forums

  • Whats ur name on it ill add u

  • that was unfair. u could haveknocked it out or paralyzed it with chloroform as well

  • What? The fly trap is fine now?

  • the cricket owned him,

    he made him his house.

    special ed venus fly trap....

  • Did that Venus Head have any Trigger Hairs in it if it did is it dead then because it didn't want to Snap

  • what was that last plant and what does it do? the video said something about bacteria digesting the cricket

  • The last plant was a purple pitcher plant, it lives in canada... I think, but it's some where with winter (it goes dormant oct-may). Anyway, it traps the plants like a pitfall trap, and their wings get wet, and tiny hairs on the plan stop it from climbing. Inside the pitcher is just a pool of water and digestive acids that slowly break down the bug insider.

  • thanks alot for the response

  • Anytime, your welcome

  • that cricket deserved to live you murderer!

  • In a cardboard box at the pet store?

  • it was probraby too big 4 the trap

  • Can the plant technically be "full?"

    That seems so unusual.

  • You're supposed to gently squeeze the trap a little if it doesn't close.. D:

  • That plant has no energy from in-adaquete sunlight and all its other traps being fed
