Agreed, i'm only 19 but been listening to the cure since i was a kid and it's sad to see my friends mostly get stuck in hip hop and the rest of my generation on lady gaga or some other whacked artist. THIS WAS MUSIC THESE WHERE TRUE ARTIST not just a bunch of idiots singing fuck bitches and make money over and over that's the future influence making this world a place where you need money to survive, honesty and humble is dead. Maybe he developed this great outlet for creative self-expression, with total control at every part of it, in part because of shyness in doing so socially in the usual ways. Btw, I'm not so sure he really things the way he wants to anymore--i'd say about 8 years rather than 30. There's plenty of big-headedness he has expressed in many interviews too, but he's human, and has good reason to be proud.
