I remember the first time i saw this, the surge that went through my body when he was cornered, Apollo closing in, taking a swing at his face, and then Rocky ducked down and then struck him hard in the gut. Changed everything.....Never give up!

The best part about the fight is the music. Bill Conti really nailed the music; it fits the emotions perfectly. The bell and slow, drawn out build up in the middle rounds; the rising urgency leading to acceptance knowing that Rocky's outclassed and is losing and the love Mickey shows, begging him to stay down; the soaring vocals makes you feel the pain and sorrow Adrian has for her man and finally the determined, driving end when Rocky lays into Apollo and changes the fight in a second.

if you look closely...at the end of the fight when rocky and apollo are hugging, you see apollos trainier come up to them...but then when it changes to birds eye view you see him jump through the ropes :P

The most emotionally moving part of the fight is the sequence that begins at 4:59. I love that scene. The music kicks in and Apollo is just laying into Balboa, absolutely moving.

I've seen this movie at least a dozen times and EVERY time i find myself yelling "Stop the fight!" at the end of the fight. This is the best movie of the series and the best boxing sequence in my opinion because it was written in full by stallone. I love that this still holds me to the edge of my seat after so many years.
