  • I have fear speaking in front of the class.. but I'm trying not to get nervous whenever we have an activity like that.. but sometimes I can't control my nerves to feel nervous.., and it's awkward.. I don't wanna be like this forever.. thanks to this video.. you're helping many people having thi kind of problem..

  • *Think

  • The first step to stop feeling this way is to not care what others care. Keep a serious face and just relax

  • wow

  • 7 dislikes..what kinda people are they..if someone is trying to teach you something and sharing something good, they still dont get satisfied..losers..they never succeed with this kinda attitude

  • I have a presentation wednesday and im super nervous! ahhhhh I hope i dont mess up :(

  • I didn't understand a thing in this video....

  • Ive always been scared ib school 2 answer a question let alone present something :p but now i moved to a new town and school and im really nervous does anyone have any advice 4 me? Pleasee hellppp!!

  • @greenkitty360 When I was young I moved to a new town and when the teacher said we were going to have to get in front of the class to give a current events report my heart rate jumped up. I took a speach class and the first speech was a How to speech. My speech was how to ride a unicycle. You have to practice, practice, practice eat foods that help you relax. Also, think positive. On Monday I'm going to speak at my Dad's funeral and I haven't done any speeking for 25 years. Wish me luck.

  • @ycuy good luck

  • @mattman3297 Thank You. It went well I got alot of complements.

  • For many people, a technique of embracing your nervousness can be of help especially if you don.t have time to develop deeper relaxation. Its a method I have used with my public speaking students.

  • i had to do a monolouge in theatre, i was so scared that i cried at the end... it was too much to handle... just too much. the feeling is ... undeniably horrific in a way that makes me cringe, its horrible.

  • i could meditate to his voice and the moving clouds

  • well people are put in a postion where many people will know them, they get stressed and become fearfull of others knowing them and have future relationships affected. Over time without much socail contact the fear gets worst. Best advice is to do something your good at in front of people, and stop careing about what they think. Know they they will be scared as well if put in your position, so why should you. Hope it helps.

  • Lol I remember doing a presentation, I wasn't feeling that nervous, BUT my hands were and they were shaky! While holding the paper it was obvious and it made me even more nervous. Then, when I have no paper at all, I feel more nervous, I'm scared of forgetting something,...

  • when i speak in front of my class i literally start to shake and my voice cracks and i hesitate a lot

  • @AlbiMcDz same dude! huhu

  • I spoke in front of my class and passed out, hit my head on a table a I fell, got a concussion, fractured my skull, I had to go through surgery. At least I got a 100 on my project though

  • @schmitty422 That's rough! Grats on the 100 lol.

  • I don't even feel nervous but my voice feels shaky as hell when I talk in front of the class! So fuckin annoying!!!

  • Brilliant. Good stuff. If anyone wants to know there are also some great tips on publicspeakingformula[dot].com

  • @nabznab thanks a lot! :)

  • My voice shakes when I speak in front of my class and stuff. I have a presentation tomorrow and I'm freaking out. What do I do with my hands? Just stand there? It seems weird to me:S lol I hate this shit...oh well. I'll just try to calm myself down in some way. I'll figure it out. Maybe:(

  • Fucking hell, I had to read a poem today in front of the whole school. Oh man it was bad, I never paused but it was like some feint voice you could barely hear and the pitch would go up and down.

  • Hey Is anyone here who freaks when he/she makes a mistake or said wrong , Lol thanks Guys

  • I saw a therapist a couple years ago for public speaking anxiety. And now that I'm put in another public speaking position, I needed help again. Thank you so much for posting this!!!! This is the method that truly helped me then so I will apply it this time and I know I can make it through.

  • Xanax from a Mexican pharmacy works best!

  • Oh the peer thing thats the worst I had to give a talk to a room full of speakers and coaches once and it was awful. Im okay now just be real and anyway they are like friends and want you to do well.

  • Like the clouds yeah anxiety can creep into everyday life.

Anxiety comes from thinking about yourself and not truly connecting with the audience. Once you put you attention outside of yourself the energy changes.

  • You can never overcome public speaking, ive ben trying to overcome it for ten years and the only thing that works is some kind of medication.

  • @JosiahxJudgement

dude same here! I only freeze up when I'm presenting to people I know better, like we do class discussions together, group work, etc. But I'm pretty much fine with nameless faces I don't really know. Weird how that works - you'd think it's the other way around...I guess it's cuz when I know people better, I actually care what they think when I'm presenting.

  • I am still working on the similar issue, but I have found it helps me to relax by reminding myself while giving speech or making any public appearance "People who care about me don't care and people who don't care about me don't care"(Hope you know what I mean). Good luck everyone!

  • Yoga Nidra is the best deep relaxation, to practice in order to be totally calm during any type of public speaking engagement, either to large groups of 5000 or just 5 people.

Search for "devarsi yoga nidra" it works a treat

  • Hey, my names Josiah.

I had the same problem in high school doing presentations in front of class, and such.

I found that it was only in front of people I knew, and classmates that I would shake.

Now that I am out of high school - the main speeches and public speaking I do is in front of crowds of people I do not know at all.. for some reason I am not shaky or insecure in front of these people. Maybe it's just me though.

  • Some really great advice. thanks.

  • it aint sad and pathetic - most people get nervous in these situations.....don't be down on yourself :)

  • i like these they make more sense then everything my so called mom tells me

  • Oddly enough that makes so much sense!

  • Thank you for this great approach to overcome fear of public speaking. I just wish I knew about it a long time ago!
