@squeezetoy1984 No, it was within the parameters of the match.  He was talking about the ref asking Horner if he gave up because of the hold.

I grew up on Mid atlantic and always wondered for years whatever happend to Jim Nelson. It was just in the last few years that I learned he was Zukhov. That's how you change a gimmick.

Man, I remember this match from TV. Now this was watch a TV match should have been like more often. It sure seemed longer then 8 minutes.

Tim Horner was such an underrater worker, just because he wasn't a monster with muscles or a rediculous cartoon charater. He and Terry Taylor are so young here. Ther were a great tag team an I was hoping they would eventually win the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Titles from Nelson & Kernodle,...wonder why Booker George Scott didn't keep them around? Great talent.

This brings back some memories. Kernodle had just turned heel after years as a journeyman face. Taylor had made his presence felt in Georgia earlier. Nelson would disappear after The Brisco Brothers broke his leg & reinvent himself as the Russian, Boris Zukhof. Who would guess that Terry Taylor would allow Vince McMahon to turn him into The Red Rooster years later? He never really recovered from that. It was also his idea for Kevin Nash to mock Arn Anderson in WCW.
