My right ear was clogged and I had terrible hearing, and I always felt tired. I got a tube placed in it, and for that day I could here great and felt super energetic. I've been told that you absolutely should NOT use water straight from the tap with a neti pot, due to the possibility of bacteria/microbes in the water. If you are using tap water, you will need to boil it and let it cool to a comfortable temperature before using. Or you can use distilled water.

When she says blow real hard with your nose plugged do not do it hard. I popped my ear drug doing this. I did not pop it doing her tutorial but this is the reason i am here right now. But people say its hard to burst an air drum i agree, but it does happen.
@thedanicali2 it would be hard for the saline to reach the eustachian tubes that way because first there is tympanic membrane then then there is the fluid in the ear. The purpose is to reach the eustachian tubes directly.
Errr you know this can lead to serious ear infections... Think about it, your pushing whatever viruses and bacteria you have in your sinuses into your inner ear.. The neti pot also has warnings on it to not push the solution into your eustatian tubes for this same reason...
90% success is an EXTREME exaggeration. Did not work for me. I don't doubt that it worked for some people, but we have to admit that the best option is to drop down the money and go to the doctor.

Finally someone has some good advice on how to unclog my inner ear. I can see how this will actually work to open up my eustation tube. This is helpful, though I am having trouble keeping my throat closed. Instead, or as a way to try to get around it, I tilt my head as I bend forward and that way the solution seems to stay inside the sinuses and I THINK I feel it around the E-tubes (my problem is blocked E tube in left ear). Any advice on how to master the throat-closing technique appreciated. I've tried and tried :)
Never put ANYTHING LIQUID into your ear if you have any kind of infection or a perforated eardrum. I've learned my less....now I get to have a tube in my ear for a year. Hey, I have a bit of an issue doing this. I have no trouble blocking my throat and getting the solution inside of my sinuses but I can't seem to make it reach the ears. The eustachian tubes are normally closed, are they not? Well how is it supposed to go in, then? No matter how much I move my head around they do not open and nothing actually reaches the ears. :/
@quantum112 Do not try this. Go to the doctor. I was given anti-inflammatory and antibiotics to treat this. It should slowly drain in a bit. If it does not then I will take the extra measures that THE DOCTOR SUGGESTS. Not some fat fucking troll on the internet.
@roboedar I do state on my web site that you should not try this if you might have an ear infection as it can stir that up and make it hurt worse. I am sorry you are such an angry soul to feel the need to speak to a stranger who is trying to help people this way. (I removed 3 of this guys other nasty curse filled comments but left this one). So many other posters here say it worked for them. I do not claim that it works all the time for everyone and I am sorry it did not work for you.
@quantum112 No the Etubes are not normally always closed, they open and close to equalize the pressure behind the drum. When it is clogged like this, it cannot open at all. Not sure why my cure does not work 100% of the time. I suggest you go the ENT to get your drum lanced instead. It may be the mucus is too thick, or congestion is not your problem. Maybe you have wax outside the drum instead?
@tiffcady I did ear irrigation since my post here in both ears, and yes there was some. It helped a great deal. I believe your method has helped my left e. tube work better, I did it a couple of times with a spray with oxymetazoline in (had to pinch nose & blow slightly to get it inside the ears). However, the left ear still feels slightly "different", could be a mild case of glue ear behind the ear drum. Probably gonna get a tympanometry done to see. Thanks for this though :)
I may have this same problem, got a pain earlier, I thought It was congestion, but the medicine for congestion didn't help, then I felt a fluid... kind of seeping down my ear... it was weird. I don't know what is going on.

DO NOT DO THIS! I followed these instructions, and my ears ended up worse and I ended up having to go to the emergency room at 6:30 in the morning. Turns out I this caused the mucus to be pushed further into the ear. Now I have an inner ear infection as a result which ended up causing terrible anxiety attacks and now I am on anti-anxiety medication, my ears are still clogged up worse and I have to wait for an appointment with a specialist!
@eieiowens If you have an ear infection when you try my remedy it will make it worse. You must be pretty sure you do not have an infection before doing it. If you have any fever at all, have pain more than just congestion discomfort, or have green phlegm coming out when blowing nose, then you have an infection.
pinching your nose helps, but right now, my right ear is still clogged and i have to tug on the ear a lil bit to get it to unclog. my doc suggest i go see an ent and he said my right ear is inflamed a lil bit thats why he wants me to go see an ent. what do you do if you still cant pop the ear? if i pop it, it will just clog back up again. there were times where i had to wait and let the ear pop on its own.
@blueceleste you can do the remedy 3 or 4 times in one hour and repeat daily for 3 days to get it to clear.
We are diluting the spray quite a bit so you can do it atleast as often as the spray says it is ok, and I have used it more often with no ill effects. Good luck

the products she is using is not meant for irregating the nasol passages. I can't believe this woman actually used contact lens cleaner in her nose. Sea Salt or a neti pot solutions is for irragation. of the nasol passages. also it's not healthy to use warm tap water because of the metals, chlorine and other crap found in tap water, Use distill bottle water. I use a sea salt mix I purchased from the health food department at my grocery store. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Why don't you guys have your ears syringed instead? It's a proceedure at the doctors which will take only a few minutes, and then you're unclogged. No long term solutions needed.
They just pour warm water into your ear from (yes) a syringe, and the high, yet gentle, pressure pushes all the wax out. It's really simple. Next time you're at the doctors, just ask them to syringe your ears. Don't let them give you solution crap.

@MajorrBison no this is not related to flying in my experience or in many others who report to me about their problem ears. Pressure change in the ear is related to flying but a *clogged* Etube is not. After flying ears should normalize on their own unless there are other things going on.
I had an ear infection a while back myself. The fluid had built up in my middle ear and perforated my eardrum. After this I got given antibiotics which cleared the infection......i think!! But I am now left with a ringing sensation in my middle ear and i have my hearing cut by 50%! I also have popping sounds?? I think I have pus or dirt of some sort which is in my middle ear, blocking my ear tunnel...due to the previous infection! What could I do?? Would this help???
I feel my earadicator solution would work for use, most def. You DO have pus stuck in your middle ear, behind the eardrum, and the Etube gets stuck shut, like a vaccum/suction cup type effect. My remedy for fluid in the ear will release the vaccum and let the fluid in the ear drain out, thereby clearing the hearing problem.
tiffcady, I made an attempt with the neti pot and 4 way but I think i'm having some trouble with the exercises. I don't quite understand how to keep myself from immediately swallowing the solution. Could you shed some light on your technique? thanks!
try leaning forward over the sink at the same time as you tilt your head to let fluid in the nose. When it begins to flow out the other side, tilt head up just a little, when you feel it in throat quickly set down the pot, pinch your nose closed and lean forward over sink again. This will hold the fluids in your nasal cavities, then tilt side to side from there, instead of up and back so much. Do the up and back exercises at the very end.
you should not force any foreign mass into your inner ear. nor should a person use the pressure method at all. so i've been told by doctors it reverses the action of the eustachianal tubes. therefor flooding the inner ear canal with potentially infectious fluids.

Finally someone has some good advice on how to unclog my inner ear. I can see how this will actually work to open up my eustation tube. It's been clogged for 2 months and I have tried everything, except for this. This is helpful, though I am having trouble keeping my throat closed. Instead, or as a way to try to get around it, I tilt my head as I bend forward and that way the solution seems to stay inside the sinuses and I THINK I feel it around the E-tubes (my problem is blocked E tube in left ear). Any advice on how to master the throat-closing technique appreciated. I've tried and tried :)

Never put ANYTHING LIQUID into your ear if you have any kind of infection or a perforated eardrum. I've learned my less....now I get to have a tube in my ear for a year. The Peroxide remedy is dangerous and burns the inside of the delicate ear. When the damage is done, it cannot be reversed and healing takes months or longer. PLEASE see an ENT Doctor for ear problems. PLEASE!

valsava tech. is something u shouldnt do anyway! Basic saline solution can be done repeatedly when u dont have a totally blocked ear or nasal area. Do the technique or not but know, ent have not solved this ET issue. AMAZES ME, they can tie tiny viens together in an open heart but no money is geared to our ears!! @ballershanelle valsalva is required for diving and military free fall operators. There is NOTHING wrong with it. It is VERY difficult to break your ear drum. And you CAN NOT do it via valsalva unless you have a deficiency in the membrane.

i tried you method after a month of suffering from "clicks" in my ear that was due to sinus drainage. unfortunately, im currently in brazil and we dont have that exact nasal spray, so i tried it with just water and salt. immediately the clicks were gone, but within 5 minutes they came back. now i have the water stuck in my ears and i can feel it drain to my front sinus cavities, but it doesnt come out. i tired everything you suggested and then some. how can i get it out? please reply!

i have an otitis... i thikin its medium... well. it started cause i practice swiming and its professional swiming.. and when i made a divve into the watter, i made it the wrong way... so watter came inside my ear... well now im a little bit better.. but i can feel a liquid coming out of my ear with blood.. i know its the infection.. but fuck.. never thout i would have this... its so fustrating...

OMG THANK YOU!!! I tried this. It actually made me feel worse and dizzy. About 5 minutes later my left ear popped on it's own and started draining! Moments later the right ear followed. For the first time in 2 weeks I can HEAR!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Hey, I have a bit of an issue doing this. I have no trouble blocking my throat and getting the solution inside of my sinuses but I can't seem to make it reach the ears. The eustachian tubes are normally closed, are they not? Well how is it supposed to go in, then? No matter how much I move my head around they do not open and nothing actually reaches the ears. :/

@quantum112 Do not try this. Go to the doctor. I was given anti-inflammatory and antibiotics to treat this. It should slowly drain in a bit. If it does not then I will take the extra measures that THE DOCTOR SUGGESTS. Not some fat fucking troll on the internet.

@roboedar I do state on my web site that you should not try this if you might have an ear infection as it can stir that up and make it hurt worse. I am sorry you are such an angry soul to feel the need to speak to a stranger who is trying to help people this way. (I removed 3 of this guys other nasty curse filled comments but left this one). So many other posters here say it worked for them. I do not claim that it works all the time for everyone and I am sorry it did not work for you.

@quantum112 No the Etubes are not normally always closed, they open and close to equalize the pressure behind the drum. When it is clogged like this, it cannot open at all. Not sure why my cure does not work 100% of the time. I suggest you go the ENT to get your drum lanced instead. It may be the mucus is too thick, or congestion is not your problem. Maybe you have wax outside the drum instead?

@tiffcady I did ear irrigation since my post here in both ears, and yes there was some. It helped a great deal. I believe your method has helped my left e. tube work better, I did it a couple of times with a spray with oxymetazoline in (had to pinch nose & blow slightly to get it inside the ears). However, the left ear still feels slightly "different", could be a mild case of glue ear behind the ear drum. Probably gonna get a tympanometry done to see. Thanks for this though :)

I may have this same problem, got a pain earlier, I thought It was congestion, but the medicine for congestion didn't help, then I felt a fluid... kind of seeping down my ear... it was weird. I don't know what is going on.

DO NOT DO THIS! I followed these instructions, and my ears ended up worse and I ended up having to go to the emergency room at 6:30 in the morning. Turns out I this caused the mucus to be pushed further into the ear. Now I have an inner ear infection as a result which ended up causing terrible anxiety attacks and now I am on anti-anxiety medication, my ears are still clogged up worse and I have to wait for an appointment with a specialist!
AVOID THIS "CURE" AT ALL COSTS!

@eieiowens If you have an ear infection when you try my remedy it will make it worse. You must be pretty sure you do not have an infection before doing it. If you have any fever at all, have pain more than just congestion discomfort, or have green phlegm coming out when blowing nose, then you have an infection.

pinching your nose helps, but right now, my right ear is still clogged and i have to tug on the ear a lil bit to get it to unclog. my doc suggest i go see an ent and he said my right ear is inflamed a lil bit thats why he wants me to go see an ent. what do you do if you still cant pop the ear? if i pop it, it will just clog back up again. there were times where i had to wait and let the ear pop on its own.

@blueceleste you can do the remedy 3 or 4 times in one hour and repeat daily for 3 days to get it to clear.
We are diluting the spray quite a bit so you can do it atleast as often as the spray says it is ok, and I have used it more often with no ill effects. Good luck

lady you are an angel, i would kiss you if i was there :) i have been in pain, i searched and i tried home remedies from a sock in a cup, honey on the ear even sucking the ear with a tube, everything was always directed to the ear, today after watching your video i thought it was silly but i said to myself what the hell and in the shower i did as you showed, my ear doesn't hurt as much (is still sore from all those other things i did to it) and my throat is a lot better thanks a lot :)

the products she is using is not meant for irregating the nasol passages. I can't believe this woman actually used contact lens cleaner in her nose. Sea Salt or a neti pot solutions is for irragation. of the nasol passages. also it's not healthy to use warm tap water because of the metals, chlorine and other crap found in tap water, Use distill bottle water. I use a sea salt mix I purchased from the health food department at my grocery store. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Why don't you guys have your ears syringed instead? It's a proceedure at the doctors which will take only a few minutes, and then you're unclogged. No long term solutions needed.
They just pour warm water into your ear from (yes) a syringe, and the high, yet gentle, pressure pushes all the wax out. It's really simple. Next time you're at the doctors, just ask them to syringe your ears. Don't let them give you solution crap.

is all these before or after a flight, cos i get clogged ears during and after a flight, and i heard earplanes can balance the pressure in the ear thereby preventing clogged ears, earplanes are earplugs that are designed to do this, i was told i can get them at walmart and i hope it works, i'm about to fly 12hrs to west africa in 2 weeks.

@MajorrBison no this is not related to flying in my experience or in many others who report to me about their problem ears. Pressure change in the ear is related to flying but a *clogged* Etube is not. After flying ears should normalize on their own unless there are other things going on.

I had an ear infection a while back myself. The fluid had built up in my middle ear and perforated my eardrum. After this I got given antibiotics which cleared the infection......i think!! But I am now left with a ringing sensation in my middle ear and i have my hearing cut by 50%! I also have popping sounds?? I think I have pus or dirt of some sort which is in my middle ear, blocking my ear tunnel...due to the previous infection! What could I do?? Would this help???

I feel my earadicator solution would work for use, most def. You DO have pus stuck in your middle ear, behind the eardrum, and the Etube gets stuck shut, like a vaccum/suction cup type effect. My remedy for fluid in the ear will release the vaccum and let the fluid in the ear drain out, thereby clearing the hearing problem.

try leaning forward over the sink at the same time as you tilt your head to let fluid in the nose. When it begins to flow out the other side, tilt head up just a little, when you feel it in throat quickly set down the pot, pinch your nose closed and lean forward over sink again. This will hold the fluids in your nasal cavities, then tilt side to side from there, instead of up and back so much. Do the up and back exercises at the very end.

you should not force any foreign mass into your inner ear. nor should a person use the pressure method at all. so i've been told by doctors it reverses the action of the eustachianal tubes. therefor flooding the inner ear canal with potentially infectious fluids.
