  • my school has nearly every class room with laptops and interactive boards, they do help

  • lucky... all we do is copy millions of notes untill the bell rings. Our school has 20 windows98 computers in the "computer lab" thats it.

  • you don't need to waste millions on white board smartboards dumb boards just teach them to spell and punctuate and count in theeir head and they will be fine

  • The one other way that you could have presented the idea was under a 3 year lease program and then broke the cost down to a per day level. For example, a $900 tablet over a 2 year lease is $40 a month (at a high rate) or 480 a year. Simply calculate how many school days you have and divide $480 by the number of days a child attends school. For example, in SC, I found that children attend school for 180 days per session.

Imagine... a student could have a Tablet PC for only $2.67 per day.

  • Inspiring. I'm posting this on my site for UMPCs tomorrow. I will reference this video several times a week along with my associates. This is an initiative that MUST be understood by every administrator and parent.

  • Thank you! Three years ago I had a new principal visit my classroom. I use streaming video, interactive PowerPoint quizzes and presentations, and teach research skills and advanced searching techniques to second graders. Her comment, "Ms. M uses too much technology in her classroom."

The greatest obstacle to promoting technology use in education is the absolute ignorance or administrators responsible for funding that resource.

  • How totally cool. I was xomplettely won over and learned a good deal from this video.

    Thanks,

    John Stacy
