Just been signed by Leeds, upon getting a work permit in the UK. Seems quite good, but playing football in the UK is a lot harder than playing in America. Its like the NFL in America, really hard to get into.
@Bunty1962.. In all fairness.. He looks pretty wank. I'm disappointed with Grayson if the truth be told, he signs some shockers, and I can only imagine he will be the same. The only redeeming feature we can cling to is that Smudger- Smith is rumored to be making a return.
The players around this kid make him look much better than he really is... 130 odd appearances and scored 17!?
That is a terrible record for a striker and in the MLS too... Poor!
@andrewhaighton101 He looks great, better than Brown. excellent signing from grayson, but I agree he has signed some shockers; but this one looks like a good one. and he's not a striker.
hey the kid looked alright against mexico granted the game doesn't count but a rivalry match brings out the best no matter if it counts. the team showed heart and oofensive prowess if we were given the penalty it would have been a w. the kid's 21 and shows some potential, like what klinsman is doin and hope rodgers is part of the future.
@jones2tc Dude, this is an old video of basically his rookie year. I posted this in 2007. He's improved. That said he still isn't the best USA has to offer, but he is young and maybe there is more potential there.
@Tyndskid That's like saying every single EPL defender is English, so I guess when Aguero scores on a team like Arsenal, you say that's because English defenders suck. When in reality both CBs are not from England. That is something called elitism and ignorance. Am I also to assume that every single player in the Danish Superliga is Danish?? So when Chris Rolfe scores on the Danish teams, it's because Danish defenders suck right?
@USsoccerdudes i guess what hes trying to say is that if the defenders were any good they wouldnt be playing in the mls and same goes for the danish superliga!
@USsoccerdudes Yes but he mightve MEANT the mls defenders.....because being totally fair it isnt the best league in the world and people can say things that sound different to what they mean...
@frizbolufc Whether he "meant" it or not doesnt change the fact that he typed American. Of course MLS isnt a good league but like in a court, what you meant doesnt matter, its what you said
@joshvn715 If you take the two players at the peak of their careers that we have seen so far, Freddy is indeed better, but Rogers definitely does NOT suck. He is skilled, creative, pacy, clever, has a great shot and works hard. Now, Freddy is probably all of those things except better, but that doesn't make Robbie a bad player by any means.
hope bradley moves robbie rogers to the left side and moves donovan to left striker.......now that charlie davies looks like he is going to not make it back by the world cup
i played on robbies team in high school at Mater Dei. coach put him on the jv team as a freshman, the team i was on.. he single handedly beat the other teams so bad that he was moved up to varsity.. the guy was unbelievable! so of course Mater Dei wins the championship because of him. after his freshman year i think he went to play for some german team and went to school out there.. but when i played with him, all we had to do was get him the ball and no doubt about it, a goal would come!
@jeffreyjeffreyjeffre That's an awesome story dude and it's cool you got to play with him. I think he actually went to SC Herenveen in Holland if I'm not mistaken.
he'll probably be on the roster for the WC. won't get much more playing time until next year though, probably after the world cup even. still has a lot of growing to do, he's a raw talent
This season he seems to have matched his natural talent with a sense of professionalism. He's tracking back defensively, making smart decisions with the ball, his crosses have been better. These were all things that were missing in the '08 Summer Olympics. He's done a bit of growing and I can't wait to see him this Saturday against Grenada.
he's ballin this year...we need someone creative like that on the USMNT...maybe a couple more years of experience will polish him off more and get him ready
ah yes, I remember seeing this guy play. It was at the last game of the season before the playoffs for DC United. I remember seeing him on the field saying. "So this is the guy who sucked at U-20 world cup". Some people in the crowd were screaming out, "ROGERS U FUCKING SUCK U PUSSY". So I did the same since he was on the opposite side of the team and by the fact I'm a huge DC United fan. But I was kinda curious to see what he had to offer for Columbus.
I was pretty impressed how he played and he managed to score 2 goals which I thought our defense should of had. But just showed me he has a lot of potential, his crossing was better than what I saw in the U'20's it was like who couldn't even put in a decent cross, and his movement it something u cannot take ur eyes off. After the loss against columbus, I was just thing, "Man how come we can't have a player like him". Now I just hope he can turn out to be a quality player.
well cant really say he impressed me with this video, the song was pretty annoying too. Ive been reading this kid has a huge upside so will be following his progress. go USA!
definatly shows some skill with the ball. if he can develope a little more and not be asked to lead columbus(like gaven was in 06) he could become a good player for the US
@Benparkerlufc ha ha hope not mate. this bloke looks ok though dosent he?. might be useful coming off bench if youre maybe chasing game.

Rogers sucks ... freddy adu even if he is Freddy ABOO still better than overrated Rogers and should have made it.
They have a clip of a HIGHLIGHT where Rogers gets blocked by the goalie ... the MLS but that is a highlight.
