You're welcome, I have a second home in Ouray and know quite a bit about the area. I really enjoyed your True Grit video. My father grew up on a ranch above ridgway where they filmed parts of that movie. I can remember him showing me pieces of the set up on the ranch.
I hiked this last year with my husband, it was scary! i love ouray i go every year to spend time with my family that lives there. i hope to live there someday!

Legend has it that there are literally hundreds of mine shafts all over Ouray, Silverton, Telluride.

Yes, I worked in the mine, also at the Beaumont hotel. I was 17 years old, traveling to the United States.
Love is so much stayed 6 months.
I have been back several times, also worked in the mine in 1972.

it was 1962 my mistake it was not 72.
The original name was, campbird, the King family leased it for 99 years, it was called (The King Lease.)
