I saw this Sondheim tribute on TV almost 20 years ago and I thought that Daisy Eagan's performance was the best one, by far. She was enchanting and a true B'way baby. There must be at least a dozen excellent versions of "Broadway Baby" (I love Bernadette Peters's) but this one is my favorite. Thank you, BestArtsSondheim, for posting this. I thought I would never see it again.

I have to say, I really appreciate how genuine Daisy Eagan is. So many young performers are made to look and sound so much older than they are, but this was perfectly a genuine 11 (12?)-yr-old's performance; not too old for her age, nicely performed, and innocence in tact (hence the humor for this song!). I really respect the positive image people set for Daisy as a young girl
