It's not helped by the extra mass, I don't care who his coach is. Carl Lewis had the same natural top gear, but he never bulked up, and never got slower.

This race showed the standards of 100m sprinting had risen if you see Greene who ran 9.87 in 2000 olympics and got gold then went on to run the same time 4 years later and gets bronze its insane

actually you have to consider that Greene 9.87 in 2000 was under for worse conditions. In Sydney in September the weather is comparable to early April in the West. The weather was very cool and not good conditions for sprinters. If that race was run say in January or even in November, when the weather would of been much warm and more ideal for sprinters, Greene would of run faster then 9.87 in 2000.

By far Greene worst season in his reign as the top 100m sprinter in the world. 2004, Greene tied with Asafa Powell for the most sub 10's with 9 legal, including 9.87 here at the 2004 Olympics.
