  • this show was tryly amazing i loved this

  • arghhh fantastic i remember this grange hill used 2 be on the same year as well

  • hey thank you its always very nice and brightens up my day to read nice messages!

  • Harold reminds me of Clark Kent...Anyway, very good job!

  • Jesus, this takes me back..............

  • I remember this song when i first heard or Harold Lloyd on PBS in the early 80s

  • This is cute!

  • Brilliant! Simply genius

  • Bloody hell. I haven't heard this in almost 30 years. Used to scare the pants off me as a kid seeing him hanging onto buildings and stuff.

  • oh forgot to mention, it used to be on bbc2 at 5.40PM in the week a real genius!!

  • i wonder if you can get the tv versions on dvd i used to love the theme tune and music that went with the clips brilliant as i do have def inative collection but its all different although fantastic and i have dvd h/lloyds world of comedy but thats aslo different so anyone have the tv versions.

  • I was looking to listen to the theme tune again and stumbled across your tribute. Great stuff & thanks for sharing. Cheers.

  • Very good ! Have some of the original HL tv shows on video somewhere. Your right show was shown on BBC2 same time as the BBC1 news used to be on so I always had to make sure I got to the tv remote first b4 my dad did ! Hooray 4 Harold.

  • lol you nutter! 10/10 for effort! Made me smile :)

  • thank you

  • I just found this video by searching for my friend Harold. I love him from old but I have to say your video is brilliant. I have told my wife that when the summer comes I am going re create a scene from his films and put it on here. Well done pard. Brilliant

  • @ukbrit100 Made me chuckle too :D

  • Fun stuff! If you ever do more, try speeding it up, the key to that old stuff is the absurdity of the pacing.

  • Strange...that was on my mind after my 'Harold Lloyd' dream sometime ago, that Hollywood would one day make a Harold Lloyd movie, complete with the cute black kid...you took the words out of my mouth (and mind).

  • OMG, some people just have too much time on their hands! But i take my hat off to you- you made me larf.......used to love Harold Lloyd as a kiddiwink..x

  • Harold Lloyd is a Legend!

I was looking for the old TV Theme,I found

    Thank you

    Bevy

  • your very welcome bevy. i just hope the hollywood types make an epic harold lloyd movie about his life and movies,he deserves one!!

  • @SAda940 Amen to that, it's long overdue...he deserves a biographical movie alright.

  • @SAda940 He deserves better than what normally gets churned out of Hollywood these days. He wasn't just a great coedic actor, he helped design the stunts, pioneering a lot of techniques that are still used today.

  • I think i used to watch Harold Lloyd when i came in from school about tea time,i also remember watching the original Flash Gordon during summer holidays, happy days :)

  • That tv show made me a fan, I actually prefer Harold to Chaplin, who i place 3rd after Harold and Buster in my list of fave silent comics

  • I used to love the Harold lloyd show. Dont suppose you have the original footage to go with the song i would love to see it again?

  • Gawd, I had completely forgotten about 'Harold Lloyd' Strangely..until just last night when I 'out-of-the-blue' suddenly dreamt about Him! complete with this TV theme song!! Bizarrely, I was him...parachuting out of the Big Ben in London with the the name 'Harold Lloyd' on the parachute! and I was blown up-wards and got somehow stuck on the Parliment House in London! somewhere near the London Bridge. But, I understand Harold Lloyd is an American creation.

  • This tune brings back some memories. I think I was about 8 when I used to watch Harold Lloyd on TV. Great tribute!

  • hey paul thank you for your comment...i will be back in the hat and glasses at some point and the knee is holding up!!! thanks again

  • This won't play properly. Keeps stopping. WAS there a HL TV show? Wasn't I born yet, or something??

I won't do impostors, I will save myself for the real thing (Harold, come back - all is forgiven - ).

  • I remembered this tune as I used to watch all the Harold Lloyd films, I think they were on Saturdays in the UK. Harold Lloyd was as good as Chaplain, Laurel & Hardy and Buster Keaton in my opinion. You look a lot like him.

  • Jesus, what IS this?

  • Its the harold lloyd tv theme tune..it was a show we had here in the uk on tv in the 80s,.It was a clip show that showed some of harold lloyds funniest and dangerous bits from his movies..i got the theme tune from the internet and just put some footage from harold lloyd movies with it.

  • Actually I also saw it in Latin America. It was all over the world. I remember the song and I used to watch the show too. At the time it caught my attention in the mid 80's. And I always looked forward to the show. I loved the show! and the song is wonderful too I wish I could download it.

    This is good stuff!

    Mary-

  • SAda940,did you write that catchy little Harold Lloyd song that plays during this video?

    Mary-

  • lol no i didnt write that catchy tune..wish i had !! it was used on the tv show that was on in the eighties here in the uk..it was just a clip show really showing harolds best bits..

  • Thanks mate! That has to be the funniest thing I've ever seen on here! Really!...More! More! :-))))

  • thank you im glad you like it i am in process of doing another ....

  • I'll be looking out for it...thanks for the reply:-)

  • A remarkably difficult bit of music to hunt down, I've found, aside from a lousy Realmedia file from TVCream. A shame they never wrote a second verse. I could swear that what they are singing, however, is "dig that style".

  • it could be...?ive tried to find the lyrics but to no avail...

  • A Google search for "a pair of glasses and a smile" leads to an amusing song called "Harold Lloyd vs. Wittgenstein".

  • please leave comments good or bad...if you like this video check out the full harold lloyd films on my page

  • Sam,

Ok,you didn't write the music, but you did one hellava nice job on these videos of yours.

Nice tribute! I just LOVE Harold Lloyd!

Please keep 'em coming if you can.

    Mary-
