  • Wow. That's all I can really say. He puts it all out there and plays with his soul. Good stuff!

  • I absolutely LOVE this version on Maria! Marty makes me smile ear to ear!

  • Sometimes you just have one of those days. This was his day right here WOW !

  • Recently, at a music festival, I had the privilege of taking pics from the pit. Since I was already a big fan, this was just heaven.

  • This is the song that hooked me 11 years ago, and the man still amazes me to this day.

  • Simply STUNNING! Martin at his best!

  • Reminds me of Jack Black but not entertaining, what are you doing up there?

  • He has EPIC dripping off of him!

  • Wow! Goosebumps ... where'd they come from? Get 'em off, get 'em off ... must ... stop ... listening!

  • in 3 weeks at the PARK WEST in Chicago, I hope Marty plays it just like this version. I have a few versions of this song by him and think this is the best I've heard My Maria in 10 years. just before the 4:30 mark it felt like he was playing a verse from Gerry Rafferty's BAKER STREET (you used to think it was so easy, but you're trying you're trying now, just one more year and you will be happy, but you're crying, you're crying now)....new album SUGARCOATING this week APRIL 6 !!

  • Amazing in video and even better live! One man playing with so many sounds. Go see him live if you get the chance.

  • sweet mouth slide electric guitar, or whatever you call it

  • Incredible!

  • He's been doing this since like 1990, at Passim's in Cambridge,, at CBGB 313 Gallery, song about a statue of Mary in Lourdes church Syracuse from boyhood

  • that's cool, do you have a link to a story about it? This is one of my fave songs of his.

  • Marty told the story as an intro to the song in the late 90s in NYC. I knew the statue he was talking about, this painted alabaster piece, because I too went to Lourdes and remember just staring at it (mainly during the boredom of church) esp. the serpent crushed beneath her feet which made no sense to me but it was a compelling image.

  • what a beast

  • this mans voice is such an instrument

  • what's the voice distortion thingy he's using?? it's awesome!!

  • pretty sure it is just a distortion volume/wah he's sining through

  • Pretty sure...He runs his mic through a Sansamp Distortion pedal

  • yea, he used it when i saw him in houston back in 1999 it was really cool

  • one of the best songs now being shared on the planet no lies,.....

  • That 737 took me on an amazing trip! Nice.
