Yes. this is a brillant advancement towards better health and sanitation HOWEVER only HALF the job has been done.

All collected & stored water breeds harmful bacteria and micro organisms. Water collected from that roof may contain faeces from bird and other animal droppings. Its great that the water is collected and reused, but to be safe for reuse, it must be treated.

Filtering only removes solids from the water. A Filter will not kill harmful bacteria or micro organisms. However again, it would be a great advancement to have an onsite mirco-chlorination and filtration system in place. I have been involved in the manufacture and donation of water treatment, on-site electro chlorinators to such villages and remote communities (what I also manufacture & sell). I will be doing more.

If you want to plug your own solution or service - that's cool. But don't misrepresent the nano-filter I mentioned.

I said specifically it filters at the NANO-level. Nothing bigger than 25 NANOMETERS can get through. That's not just solids, that's not just spores, that's not just bacteria, but also even the smallest virus.

Again, check out "Cow Sh*t to Clean Water" before you diss the invention (of which I am not employed or paid by that company).

Listen Mate . I am not dismissing that filter system AT ALL . It is a great system however it wil NOT remove all harmful bacteria or micro organisms. What about the viruses and bacteria that are less than 25 Nanometers. I have over 20 years water treatment experience in the water treatment industry. Water to be safe needs to be filtered and sterilized.

Just remember. It is about educating and providing clean, safe drinking water to people, no matter what system is used.

I couldn't agree more! Also, TankPro looks a bit cool.

But your science is a bit off mate. Nano-scale is VERY VERY small. I don't think you know how small that is. There is no bacteria in existence (single celled or other) that even APPROACHES the smallness of 25 nanometers. Viruses (which are FAR smaller than bacteria) usually are much bigger than 25 nanometers.

Also, that filter meets US EPA requirements at filtering all microbiological threats. I mean, I didn't take that company's marketing at face value. So I talked to CDC directors and epidemiologists. Then I and the CEO of the company drank fresh (like really fresh) cow feces mixed with rain water. The water was clear, bacteria free, and totally safe. And I have the video on YouTube as proof.

In the caribbean that is all of the houses get their water. Except the tank is under the house and it is called a cistern. People should use those more in the southern states where it doesn't freeze over, it is a good way to save money and use natural resources.

Yeah, I think this could work well anywhere you don't have to worry about things freezing over.
