  • is that covered by your insurance?

  • work on the clutch slipping bro,,,

  • Glad you made out ok bro,, might wanna work on the clutch slipping a bit more on the low speed turns...

  • talking cut.....lol good way to put a positive spin on things....people always talk to me about how im going to crash...i just say its part of riding on 2 wheels..freedom isnt free i guess.

  • pretty bad

  • song? :)

  • @Alqmist Little People - Moon

  • It's always lucky when you walk away. I've had 2 also. First at 5-10mph front wheel lost traction. No real problems. Next one: 35mph low-side into a guard rail. Skinned my right ankle off in a pile of sand around a blind corner. You should see my helmet. Crazy that people don't wear them. Cleaning the dirt/sand out in the hospital was bad. But it's still lucky when you can walk away. I doubt I'll ever give up riding either.

Btw: that's a nice garage. Hope the bike got fixed soon.

  • Sounds similar to what happen to me, i just went down yesterday, i took a hairpin turn to slow so i tried to speed up but there was a car in front of me so.....my peg and foot got caught and the rear just went.

    Glad to hear your okay.

    ride safe.

  • Damn man! I had the same thing happen to me last sunday! My 07 R6 is messed up. Luckily not as bad as yours and I only have a slightly brused hand. Made a slid show video that is going up sometime soon. If you want to see the damage let me know or look on my profile.

  • My bike looked just like that i almost cryed haha. I lowsided at like 40mph into a guardrail. Almost took my leg off. Glad your okay, ride safe bro.

  • Jee-wee-Christmas!!! Thank goodness you didn't get more seriously injured!! This is a good reminder to everyone about the inherrent dangers of our chosen mode of transport. Thank you for sharing this humbling experience!

    RSMF!

  • hey dude wow this is exactly what i just did same accident except all my damage was left side and i was going about 20mph cuz i whaled on the throttle going into an s curve only had the bike one day tire shot out around my left side and it flipped me off went sailing down the street on my back after i tumbled couple times and i remember looking back at my bike watching it spin on the ground on its left side but all is said and done and gettn it fixed. keep up the cool vids bro- micah

  • sorry bout the wreck man.. i was torn between getting the 09 SE or an 08. I found a better deal on an 08 so.. had seeing a fellow 10r guy go down!

  • hows the healing. are ya going to fix up the bike. oh ha what ever happen with downshift83..

  • Wow bro! sorry to hear about the bike/knee. The talking knee if funny as hell. Although hell is not funny. Get well soon bro.

  • Get well soon mate. Love your vids. Cheers and thanks.

  • lol ya i wreck my bike thats why it had a new fiber glass body on it. i painted and sold it. once i fixed it. ya it shouldnt cost that much to fix your bike exp for the wires and the pipe ouch.

  • Yah know, Nick is really a good man. He advises other riders about throttle savvy and awareness, in turns? That's thoughtfull/unselfish. Thank you Nick. Oh, and the "talking" cut makes me laugh. Heal up soon, bro.

  • Yah man, I gave it too much gas in that turn for the condition of the road and my tires. Thanks for the well wishes. You're up EARLY on a Saturday dude!

  • Yeah I am up early. . .and I don't know why. But just wanted to clarify to other readers. I don't mean Nicks' cut is funny. It's just the way he plays with it, looks like its talking. That is what i find funny. peace.

  • hope you get better ASAP man. I feel sorry for your baby.......

  • damn...that is one nasty cut bro...ouchh!!

  • Oh Man! Glad you're in one piece! That was a nasty cut!!! Thanks for the warning, of course I had to see it for myself....! Get better soon, Nick!

    -808

  • ohh ok

  • Glad you're ok. I'm assuming you were in full gear? Probably would have some nasty rash to add to your list of injuries if you weren't...

  • zx10= tons of torque

  • glad you're still alive. and the bike doesn't look TOOO bad... hope you get back on soon.

  • ouch!

  • im gonna say the crash cage/slider protecter thing didn't work?

  • i have almost exactly the same scar on my right knee from my last accident...but it took me two months to be able to ride again, and i still feel it 18moths after the accident. bike doesn't look that bad, but take your time with a knee

  • At least you got up man, some of us aren't that lucky. Been down twice myself and it's certainly not pleasant. Get her back together and be careful on slow rights, they still make me uncomfortable.

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • ouch man glad to see ur ok. looks like a nasty spill

  • I wish I had taken a video of my knee. I didn't think to at the time. The hardest thing about this is not being able to ride. Don't try to rush the healing process. I kept ripping stitches trying to get back to normal. It just makes it longer. Well good thing is no knee surgery.

  • Sorry man!! i'm also stoked that you didn't break any bones! After seeing this vid, I'm very fortunate that I didn't do the same cuz I cruised around De Luz (North of Fallbrook & West of Temecula) Hopefully I'll be able to down load cuz it's 12:19 long. It's pretty boring to say the least cuz the road was crazy (steep incline & decline, sharp turns, jacked up road, and you can say i was dirtbike riding). I don't have the software to edit it but just scope it out. I'll call it De Luz Cruise. HA

  • Bro, that really sucks is your insurance covering it?

  • dam! hate those lowsides. take care and hope to see you soon

  • damn.. that bike was very beautiful... but glad u're fine ;) we'll be w8ing for new videos !

  • THATS SUCKS MAN

  • knee cuts suck, cause they stretch everytime you walk. so is it streetfighter time or what?

  • glad to see ur alright man get back riding as soon as you can!

  • there is never the crash vid, mmm, why. dont let this slow you down, i am back int the saddle again keep saying that time and time again....

  • trust me if I would have been recording I would have posted it.

  • glad your alright dude.

    stay safe.

  • must not been wearing your race suit. your smiley knee is nasty. lol get well soon

  • I'm sorry to hear that nick, at least the bike is repairable though, are you going to notify your insurance company? damn that 10r was gorgeous too, at least maybe when you fix it you can do a little customizing ;)

  • sorry to hear about it nick

  • Glad your OK Cat!!!! Lots of sand & gravel along the roads & at turns here by the Gulf. It's one of the biggest contributors to down riders. Hit the throttle or the brake at the wrong time & your going for a ride. I learned that at a slow speed on my last bike. Thankfully the bike & I just ended up with a few scratches. Stay safe & always wear your gear.

  • shit happends

  • crashed my bike just before christmas on a corner and hit the curb and it is a right off as both me and it flew into a car coming the other way luckly i walked away with a just a sore knee but the bike is a right off. as you say all part of the sport it cannot be helped most of the time. i have lost 2 friends to motorcycle accident but it can not be helped. keep safe guys stay riding untill the end.

  • Damn.. Nick, good thing you are alright. Was this after the rain?

This is what I'm afraid. The main street I turn left to go to work and back is full of pepples and sand around my place from the recent street renovation.

take care.. see you soon, bro

  • get better soon bro

  • Glad your ok man. Everyday you ride, you never know whats going to happen, but being prepared for it is the best thing you can do. You were always geared up and you protected your bike with frame sliders. Some people do neither, which is sad. Gear up people!

  • Glad you are ok - like the smiley face on your knee =)

  • Wish you the best man!

Actually today I heard of a motorcyclist death in Julian...

Hope to see you up and running soon :)

  • @aztectemplar, sad. never rode up there yet.

  • Sad indeed man!

    He was 28.

I've heard of about 10 motorcycle crashes in SD or around in the past month or so. All 10 serious crashes, couple of fatalities.

So be careful out there guys, I know you guys are down here so I tend to always keep an eye on the description of the bikers. Ppl in SD dont know how to drive either, so just be careful, specially with the upcoming rain.

  • that sucks dude!! get well soon!!

  • glad like you're alright man. hope the bike doesn't cost too much to fix. that cut looked pretty nasty lol

  • Glad your not dead pal! People will say "Oh it was on 10mph" but you could've easily been hit by another road user, hopefully we'll all see you back in good shape and out on the road again very soon! Shame about the bike & of course the crash overall!

  • hey man, first and foremost glad that you are alright...the bike is always secondary to that...but i know the feeling....like you im one of the riders that has been down and i saw my bike totalled...glad you are alright and hope see more vids of you back out on the road....remember, the rubber goes on the ground and the plastic in the air

  • Love the ending. "yea I wanna get rid of those tires anyway" lol Batlax BT016 is the way to go.

  • Yeah Im going to wait till mine is payed off before I do any mods to it. Just in case I crash, I wont have to have the burden of trying to sell the extra parts :/

  • sorry about the accident man, i suggest getting a savage bike and piece the bike back. It happened to me a year ago popping a wheelie. good luck.

  • i'd just say make it a streetfighter to not worry about the front fairing. and a new gas tank isn't all that expensive really. new frame slider. the exhaust - i dunno what to tell you. sorry to hear about that man :( i hope your recovery goes well and i hope your bike situation works itself out smoothly

  • gas tanks are $500+, kinda expensive.

  • but relative to a new bike

  • want too see the vid... Seen a few of your vids a great riding. bikes fine ah. hope too see you out there soon, ride harder man that never fails....

  • sucks that so much damaged happened at such a low speed. I just upgraded to a 600 so i gotta keep it chill till i wear my new tires in. Hope you and your bike get back out on the road man!

  • looks like the damage was only cosmetic. which is good. get well soon and ride safe.

  • Hope you heal up soon, take it easy and love the vids

  • Gross! Your knee was talkn! Glad only minor damage and a speedy recovery to you.

  • It's humbling for me to see a far superior rider come off at such low speed. For me, in a 30mph accident a while back it was as embarrassing and frustrating as anything else. Good to hear you are okay.

Hope the bike is okay too, it would be sad to loose her.

  • hope you have a fast recovery man, ill be missing ur vids

  • speedy recovery!!

  • Hey man the talking opened wound was not needed!! Lol..... Glad to see you came out ok and i wish you a speedy recovery! Both you and the bike.

  • your still one of my favoirtes

  • hope u have a fast recovery mate

  • sorry to here bout ur accident look to see you riding again soon nick

  • All in all, the main thing is that you walked away and can ride another day!

  • Wow thats f*cked up man! Get well soon.

Hope you get your bike fixed up soon.

  • Looks like you fucked up your tank pretty good, good thing it wasn't a yamaha lol. Any frame or fork damage? Those curbs can be unforgiving. Doesn't look too bad from the camera

  • Damn man sucks about going down but atleast your not to banged up and able to ride again soon get well soon

  • Ahhhhhh vagina knee

  • I know how you feel nick, I went down last year and really f****ed myself. What's the damage to the bike?

  • Get better man and nice cut haha

  • glad your ok man.

  • Sorry to see your pride and joy banged up! Looks like your knee got a good laceration there, but nothing too serious.

BTW, what kind of pants were you wearing at the time of the accident? It would be useful infomation to pass along to everyone else. :)

I'll bet you got some oil and/or antifreeze on your rear tire at the intesection. That darn oil is N A S T Y for traction!

    Get Well Soon! :-)

  • Ouch ouch ouch! I'll have to remember this since I sometimes do get on the throttle when I'm making a turn. Good thing my bike is a low powered 600!

Geez, you landed all wrong every which way. Good luck with the recovery.

  • Nick, you don't have to lie to us. Just admit you were distracted by a girl ;)

Speedy recovery man, it's not important when you get back on, just *that* you get back on.

  • Good to see you are well. Hope you are back in the saddle soon. Ride Safe.

  • Ohhhhh shit man! that sucks! hope to see more videos soon mate, just get better first.

  • Hey man! Head up! I am sorry for the bike and the little stitching, but there is almost nothing that can be too bad. There is always someone with more problems!

Glade you are OK. Hope to see you soon!

  • Duuuuude, that sucks! I fuckin loved that bike man. I'm glad you're alright, you didn't get too banged up. At least you still have your videos though, so you can remember what a beast she was! =) Get well soon.

  • Bad luck mate, glad ur okay though.

  • that sucks dude glad your ok though that's the important thing. The newer sportsbikes never stand crashes very well plastic is so light and thin and so angular, older sportsbikes just graize

  • It's not too bad, you will return soon!

    Bon courage ! from France
