5 years ago my childhood friend and i became lovers. this was our favorite song. we always sang this song together and we were always together. but... she was taken from me in a freak accident on her way over to my house and i couldn't save her in time. her and my unborn child were lost in my arms... that was the best i ever was and i'll never be able to get it back. i've never recovered from it and i've never been able to love as strong as i did with her...

I've prayed and prayed to let go, but the answer I always get is that I'm not meant to...to be patient. Try as I might to kill that spark of hope that remains...it won't be extinguished.
@snwdreams I know how you feel. To have the person you love more than the world slip right through your fingers... When nothing you say can change their mind... I was there. I lost her and thought I would never see her again. For almost 25 years I tried to put her behind me. I prayed for God to take the feelings I had for her away... Then after all that time, a miracle! We found each other on-line and discovered that neither of ever really moved on. We have been married 2 years now.
@gysgt13 That's really amazing. My souls already made up that there is no one else for me...and that's a decision I can't seem to change no matter what I do...so I guess I just have to have patience that whatever is meant to be will work out perfectly, whatever that might mean. I just have to stay true to my heart....like you said...do what I know in my heart is right. Right now it's telling me to have hope and be patient...so that's what I do...it's hard though. This song perfectly describes the situation with the love of my life and I. We're not together right now for a lot of reasons. But I haven't given up hope.

If you have a true love and you know it is real don't give up, no matter how long it takes, it is worth the wait.On the 23rd of November we will have been together for a year and are getting married on that day also!
