Since indian food is overcooked, my mom overcooks all other types of food until smoke alarm goes off. This has now become the signal to the family that the food is ready to be served. LOL
Thank you SO much wonderful ladies! It turned out very delicious! You guys have taught a girl living in a university residence so many cool desi recipes :D My mom is very proud ;) Thank you again and please keep up with the brilliant work, its much appreciated! <3
Just curious ... do you guys have a cameraperson or video editor? i just wanted to say how i think your recipe videos are great because you can actually see your work station and also the pot with the food.
it would be gr8 if u guys can also include some thai recipes....like pat thai noodles......red curry, green curry etc....do do take care that some of your viewers are vegetarians...
I've been experimenting with Indian vegetables and recently tried an Indian vegetable whose taste reminded me of asparagus: drumstick. It was very tasty, like asparagus. However, going into it blindly, I didn't realize there is a tough stick-like skeleton to the vegetable, and people usually scrape the soft flesh with their teeth. This is not necessary with asparagus.
@TooLooseLeTrek dats cool please understand drumstick is so healthy, it boosts your sex drive within a half hour itself... its that good for ones libido.
was looking for asparagus recipe(indian way) since a long time..thank you very much .

what type of chilli powder do you use: kashmiri / normal / hot ?
good recipe! never thought of cooking indian style asparagus before!!! :-)
AbstractMan23 3 months ago
@AbstractMan23 : We use hot for our personal use but use medium for the show. We also use Kashmiri chili when we need color but not the heat :)
Enjoy the Asparagus and Happy Cooking!

@ShowMeTheCurry thanks. hmmm but i thought kashmiri was the mild one, at least the one you get here in england is called "kashmiri mild".
i will do your brussel sprouts recipe also for christmas :-)

What to use instead of cumin and ginger? Any suggestion?
homoeroticna 1 year ago
@homoeroticna : You can skip the cumin and use garlic instead of the ginger!

Would it affect the dish too much if I left out the fennel seed??? I love everything else about this dish, just not a huge fan of fennel
texassongbird81 2 years ago
Sure, you can leave it out. It does add some flavor but if you don't like it, you won't miss it :).
