  • Yeah you might as well as take worship out of this. Yes these songs were intended for the world; it's not like they were re-written to glorify God. All of your dance moves are of the world. Would you really do those types of moves before God himself & call the songs worship. Really??? This is just another pathetic way to justify that their is nothing wrong with secular music. How dare you put the name of God on this and actually call this worship. Blasphemy if you ask me.

  • imho-taking what was meant for the pleasures of this world and turning it around to glorify God is one of the greatest things one can do! It's not "sloppy seconds" to God, it's taking from the devil what he meant for evil and transforming it into good!

  • Worshiping God is a personal experience of the heart between man and God. Who are you to judge another person's heart and motivation? I believe God has been glorified.

  • They are reaching the lost, broken, worldly people. Gang bangers, rapists, prostitutes, homeless, murderers, abandoned people of LA and NY

Do you REALLY think God is looking down on them with a frown b/c of their music choice?? Your straining at a gnat and missing the big picture. Its not like they are singing this songs in their worship services. They have talent AND annointing.

Im proud of you guys and I know God is too...

  • How many times has Christian artist turned what started out as a secular song to glorify God? I can name a few right off the top of my head. "Bridge over troubled water", "God bless the broken road" and songs like "You raise me up" have been sung, performed, in both the secular and Christian worlds. DC may do things that are a bit unconventional, but then again...I don't know too many pastors of a mega church that would sleep on the streets of skid row either & minister to the lost & hurting

  • @cyndis2900 I agree BUT the songs they danced to (not worship songs) were NOT re-written as a worship or glorification to God. Yes, some secular songs can be of inspiration but to actually sit here and say that they glorify God is bananas. I'm quite sure Leona Lewis, Chris Brown did not have God on their mind & worshiping Him on their mind while recording them.

  • I think there are 2 ways to look at this. One there are people who are trying to reach a lost world, so they are reaching them at their level. However last night we were watching a documentary called the cult killer. It was about a kid who grew up in a "family" who was all about sex. They would have women go out and literally whore for Jesus. They were "reaching" people where they were. It's wrong in my opinion to get down on a worldly level. It only drags us as Christians down with them.

  • omgosh this is amazing!!!!!!!! and i luv the way ur using secular music to reach people to god its kool! :)

  • wow that person who was doing the acrobatic on the cloth!! i dont kno wat its called but it is beautiful!! and @criscilla is rite. it doesnt matter if it secular music. its for the lord and they are expressing there love for him and the simplest way possible..by using their own bodies.

  • @charz07 why do you think lady gaga, alicia keys, michael jackson, one republic, why you think these guys are all famous? Because they carry a sound, an anointing that really touches the insides of people, they like the music basically! This is an anointing, a gift from God! But so many people are lost, all these people don't know how to channel it, how to handle it, because they don't know of the love of God... yet... so God created this music first anyways. This world is crying out for God.

  • @criscilla

no offense hun, but why would you take something that has been made for the pleasures of the world and then offer it to God? That's like moses going into the temple of baal and taking a lamb off of the alter and then offering it to God. Either it's created to glorify God or it is created to glorify the devil, there's no in between!

So taking a song from the world which was never intended to glorify God is a strange thing to do in my opinion... why offer God sloppy seconds?!

  • @charz07 lol can u honestly say bleeding love was meant to glorify the devil??? lol cmon! u humor me....

  • @criscilla... i'm with criscilla.... just like God used Joseph's brothers' cruelty to ultimately save their lives, God can turn something like secular music into something to glorify Him... what was meant for evil will be used for God's glory, right? we're using the tools of this world to backfire on the enemy... so how is this glorifying the devil when we're praising God?? Paul said "so that by all possible means that i may save some" didn't he? who are you to pass judgement anyway? haha...

  • @charz07 I completely agree! God deserves our best, not something that has been offered to the world first.

  • I like the whole idea but I don't agree with certain parts of the songs (that's just my opinion) but overall that was really good

  • talent... defined ! awesome moves! inspirational (:

  • Its called bringing a secular spirit into a sacred place of which Jesus thrashed them out of the temple for doing the same thing. There has to be a separation of which there's not in this situation. The dream center is doing it like the rest of the church world to draw a crowd and if you'll notice in the young lady's reply, she is very shallow in the word which get's to my real point, they sit under shallow teaching. sadly they can't win the world the real way, so they joined them ! Very sad !!

  • This IS the real way to reach people. Getting on a persons level rather than looking down upon them is the best way to open the line of communication. When you want to connect with a child you crouch down to speak to them because it makes them feel as though you are talking 'with them' and not 'at them'. Condemning people will get you no where. The best way to actually help people learn about God is to first show them that we love them because God loves them. Try showing God's love first...

  • @terryrgreen75 What are you doing to reach lost souls? It is easy to criticize and be self-rightous in your ingnorance.

  • @terryrgreen75 What are you doing to reach lost souls? It is easy to criticize and be self-rightous in your ingnorance. I think Jesus is dissappointed in you, not them.

  • All I can say is God will use anyone, anything and everything to reach the lost and bring them back into the light, He is in the house at The Dream Center! My son was a serious addict without hope before entering into the discipleship program there and now he is walking free and sharing the good news! ALL churches could learn from them, they are in the business of bringing people to Christ who so many others have given up on, they walk the walk!! Thank you God for The Dream Center!!!!!

  • You guys are amazing!! You reach people in a way that others dnt. We live on earth and therefore a lot of people need to come down from the clouds. I listen to Press Play while dancing like crazy and it has truly blessed my soul.... My relationship in between God and me and I thank you guys for adding some excitement to it. God continue to bless!

  • Replay!

  • it's worship to enjoy life and have fun. Keep up the great work Criscilla....the Lord knows the lives that are being rescued, and He gives props...funny how people who are saying it's compromise are going against what THEY believe and watching your videos! LOL! Go out and GET THE LOST! Bring em in...let Jesus change 'em...culture isn't sin....

  • 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 (New King James Version)

14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? 15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you[a] are the temple of the living God. As God has said:

  • “ I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.”[b] 17 Therefore “ Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.”[c] 18 “ I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the LORD Almighty.”[d]

  • Well there is a lot of secular songs with lyrics that can be applied to worship. This is an awesome way of reaching out to people out there. Who said there is no modern Christian music? There is a lot of Christian music out there in RnB, electro, hip hop, pop, rock. With beats and lyrics just as good as secular music.. do i really need to name a few? =)

  • it's called compromise sad to say! it is not being accurate in the Word. Too bad some has to do these things for such silly reasons.

  • its called CREATIVE...@bgatchi get out of your bubble... welcome to real life and the real world...some people dont know any music except secular...so if were trying to reach em and this is what they relate too....then thats what were gonna use.... if god can use a donkey to speak, he can use ANY kind of music to reach....what r YOU doing to reach the lost? cause were savin lives over here....

  • @criscilla thank you... praise Jesus somebody gets it

  • @criscilla It shouldn't be reaching them through this. In the first place it is God who can only touch their lives. We can reach them by living like our Savior. I cannot imagine my God compromising just to reach the world. He never did that.

  • @criscilla Can you now tell me what was the message sent by the dance number? I don't get it. How can you be ministered by the medley?

  • @criscilla I hate to think about how many comfortable Christians are wasting their time tearing you down for the ministry you do, when I find it highly unlikely they have some ministry reaching the lost. Stand strong, sister, and don't let ney-sayers be confused (necessarily) with wise counselors. Sometimes you're just getting a Pharisaical person protecting their preconceived notions.

  • @criscilla I think what you do is great!! It's a new way of thinking, and one can see youre deeply desired to save and reach the lost ones in this broken world! By going "down" to the unsaved ones "level" it's much easier to reach them where they are! People need to open their eyes and realize that christians are people too! We need to show the lost ones that we are noe better than them, but we have something they don't! I pray for u and your work Criscilla!!! Keep it up woman!!!!

  • @bgatchi amen

  • @bgatchi These songs that are secular, are - believe it or not- melodies from God first. Everything was created from God. The devil created nothing, but he stole, and twisted everything. The Dream Center is focusing on reaching the lost, by showing the love of God through what goes on all day everyday in life. The Dream Center is not glorifying this music they use, they are bring the God sound out of it. The heavenly songs.

  • @ladyrasberry it is not correct to use general statements in these kind of situations. Yes everything came from God but not all are of God. I hope you realize this.

  • @bgatchi why do you think lady gaga, alicia keys, michael jackson, one republic, why you think these guys are all famous? Because they carry a sound, an anointing that really touches the insides of people, they like the music basically! This is an anointing, a gift from God! But so many people are lost, all these people don't know how to channel it, how to handle it, because they don't know of the love of God... yet... The bottom line is, where is your heart.

  • @bgatchi Welp, um, BOOM comes to mind. How many hymns do you know? Did you know many were written to the tune of bar songs? Now you do. Do you know there are Christian artists out there that have albums full of secular songs and a song or two that share the light of Jesus with those who wouldn't go buy a Newsboys CD? Now you do.

Maybe the compromise is you living out the Israelite fashion of thinking themselves blessed for their sake, instead of for the sake of others.

  • this is pretty sweet, gotta love the Dream Center cuz I DO :D!!!

  • Example: After Micheal Jackson died Pastor Barnett had people sing "You are not alone." OMG that song brought me to tears, 4 days later my Mother passed and that song still touches me Today. You have to be at The Dream Center to see the transformation that takes place because of the Liberty! Souls are saved, drawn to the altar by the power of JEsus Christ and by His Spirit! The Dream Center is a REAL STOREHOUSE!!!

  • I love people like Criscilla who r not afraid to combat religious minsets, the bible admonishes us to be as harmless as doves but wise as serpents. some of us he's called to the very industries that are blatantly against him and take them back by proclaiming his name. keep Doing Jesus Criscilla n lettin Him use you as he sees fit, not as people see fit.

  • I as well don't agree with someone dancing to secular music. I believe that we are much more talented to create something made from scratch. Most of us don't know the real purpose of why the music producer made that chord progression or in what state of mind he was. Thats just my opinion.

  • the problem is that they world is so much further advanced than Christians in EVERY arena that we're in a losing battle if we don't join them in media and our ways to reach them!!!! You're in an MTV/Youtube generation but the Christians are pumping out Atari type crap calling it cutting edge!!!! UGH!!! I care too much about these lost souls to fall for that religious jargon (modern day pharasees)

  • i miss the dream center

  • nice~

  • Can you please explain to me why you guys find it ok to dance to secular music? n i dont mean it to criticize im just curious i've been back n forth on whether its wrong or not.

  • weve turned all these secular songs into worship songs...listen to the lyrics ;) hope it helps!

  • @criscilla

no offence hun, but how can u take what has been offered to the world and then offer it to God?? That's like Moses going into the Temple of Baal, ripping a sacrifice off of it's altar, dusting it off and giving it to God. I believe that that either something is for God or it isnt... there's no in between. Therefore, if these songs were not created to worship God then they were created to worship something else (sure u kno who).

  • @charz07 They were created to worship the devil. I support your comment 100% God does not need soul winners are are in between. He wants to be able to count on someone who will stand firm on His word without having to compromise with the world. That's just like saying, "okay you can live for God meaning don't sin, BUT you can come into his presence with songs from Chris Brown singing forever on the dance floor." Really? People can't be that naive.

  • ....I'm sure you are doing something great at The Dream Centre, but imagine the greater works that could be done with the music composed by the spirit of a Godly worshipper! Where the Spirit of The Lord is there is Liberty...

If God truely has instructed you to serve in this way, then i apologize. However i feel it necessary to reply to missRun2win as a she stated she has been "back and forth" with this. Miss... PRAY, the Spirit will lead you and show you His will for YOU!

  • @missRun2win well the devil took God's creation, music, and used it for evil. Whyy can't we take it back?

  • @missRun2win Good Question! Where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. At the Dream Center the Believers are FREE! I mean they have a large group of people to minister to, ex-drug dealers, addicts and much more. When I listen to the secular music at the Dream Center I receeive the gift that God has placed inside of the person that is singing. The gifts and callings of God is unto repentence. I take in the meat and throw away the bones.

  • religious, religious! I'm so sick of modern day pharisees! Who decded ths stuff ws so wrng and why? Reach the ppl howevr u must but REACH them! Stop livng in a Christn bubble o fear frm the wrld. R r supposd 2 b IN the wrld but not of it. When in Rome do as the Romans. u know all that stuff.
