This was one of the first video games I ever played.

I have fond memories playing this game on a 12" green monochrome monitor back when it was still a fairly new game. So much so that I later bought a copy of the game on e-bay in the original packaging. Not a groundbreaking game, but just classic good 2d gaming.

Oh yeah. This was so aggravating of a game.

But when I finally did defeat it, oh the joy.

They don't make these kind of extreme challenges for skilled players only nowadays.

Today's kids just want easy and fast gratification -- and that's why they burn game content and churn off and stop playing so fast as well.

A challenging game is far more rewarding to win and keeps you coming back to crack it and makes you feel that you've earned something when you do.

Wow, and I thought I was the only one who remembers this game. The bizarre hit detection still haunts me to this day. Guards just vanish when killed and you take hits without any discernable animation whatsoever. Those were the days...
