@hexashadow13 oh and it was an example, they couldn't possibly list all the energy companies, and the message really is invest MORE on alternative energy. No one cares if the company is at the top, they ALL should be at the top, for instance I don't choose that company for oil because they have the cheapest and seemingly "environment friendly obtained". I choose a company that I know has environmentally friendly methods, even if it is more expensive.
No one said they aren't advancing, what is being said is that there are safer and much healthier ways of getting energy, it is usually more expensive to take safety measures, so some companies will take shortcuts and have them, but maybe not maintain them or not have them at all. So let's take this into the viewpoint of an average person and blow it up to them being the earth and their children living on earth, without these safety measures, (or all together different energy sour
Chevron is a respectable association of brilliant, hard working individuals who care about the same things you and I do. To disrespect such an organization is to have contempt for yourself. Our world is being fed a steady flow of false, shallow and dangerous tidbits about economics. I study the fundamentals. Therefore, I am deeply grateful for Chevron and the many other firms that make my family's life so wonderful.
It's really the job of government to make changes like the ones we need. Corporations succeed by focusing on profits. So few people would be willing to choose Chevron over a cheaper alternative, even if they were investing heavily in a cleaner, renewable future.
Yes, definitely make fun of the company that has made rapid advances in hybrid automobile technology and is the company that has the highest investment in alternate energy by far compared to all the other oil companies. That makes complete sense. -_-
You can talk all this BS about how oil companies are leading to disaster, but if they stopped providing oil, society would collapse.
And these exact oil companies are generally the ones that are providing the most funding to alternate energy.
but one-sided in the discussion, but what can ya do in less than a minute? Great work! This might be useful in someones presentation at school to get a point across *cough* *cough*
this is taking a shit to a whole new level
