Oh wait, sorry, I read your reply wrong.. you just play around with the settings for it.. keyframe the evolution, just click the stopwatch and move forward to the end of the timeline, and then type in how many revolutions you want.

nice explosion. you should track the scene and apply it to the fog layers, so they stick to the scene, and not the camera. Also turn down your noise and grain reduction.
