  • i just saw an interview with Buckminster Fuller talking about transporting humans by radio waves. I wonder if that is where roddenberry got his idea for the Transporter on Star Trek? /watch?v=86ENOz3WvBg

  • 0:22 where is this clip from?

  • star war? robot? spayce

  • This entire video was jumpy as all hell, like it has Parkinson's.

  • Excellent! Thank you.

  • "imaging radars" +"mathforum" google.com.

  • The fill effect in TOS was created by sprinkling aluminum powder in front of a strong light, and playing the film back in reverse and upside down.

  • i'm not sure if that is the shirt that wore in the new star trek movie and also i think he should be wearing the red one

  • or better yet-just say red makes you look fat :D

  • This was an excellent clip, on an excellent topic, with a more so excellent offer. Thank you so much. Godspeed!

  • Good video. But Alka Seltzer? I always thought they swirled glitter around in a glass.

  • I think they did both: you can actually see two different TOS effects in the video. One is sort of finer and more clear and the other is sort of clumpy. I couldn't get either method exactly right, but my alka seltzer shots were closer. I still need to play some more to get it right.

  • Yeah when they first started off they did Alka Seltzer when it was just a few then they moved onto The Glass with Gliter.

  • yes, that what I heard on the DVD bonus material. They just shaked a jar of glitter and filmed it. They later cut it on and added it to the contur of the actor, beeing transported.
