I could not agree more with you my friend. Coverdale can't sing for shit these days. He was overshadowed by Hughes in his Purple days too, yet Glenn Hughes can still sing.

Let's get to the truth here ok, both DC and IG were great in their day but neither is 100% anymore. They both had throat problems through not looking after their voices properly so can't do it as good now, they do their on thing in their on way so let's just rock on together and appreciate them all while we still can ok. The show was incredibly amazing and part of it was because Gillian continues to sing perfectly good after all these years... So stop talking stupidities about Gillian, he rocks! And yes, Coverdale rocks too... :P
Awesome! They opened up with this when I saw 'em in Dublin. Doug Aldrich is some player! I saw him with both Whitesnake and Dio. As a side note, I found it odd that with Whitesnake he played Deep Purple tunes on a Les Paul, but with Dio he did Rainbow tunes with the more appropriate Strat. But I digress!
