  • RIP headphone user.

  • Just replayed again. I plan on replaying at least once more before ME3. I'm definitely going to give this a shot. Thanks a lot for the help! :)

  • Yes, Thank You Very Much, FINALLY it worked, my 3rd playthrough it worked, thanks man, awesome!

  • This game is BS and buggy as hell. Had higher paragon but that option "be the better bitch" never becomes available. I did both of their loyalty missions.. Jack's first then Miranda and right after Miranda they started fighting. Options you are given are garbage, couldn't choose paragon or renegade option so had to pick a side.

  • Thanks mate i just completed it with a paragon score of over 60% i think, i had a Sentinel level 10, and followed his questline almost exactly (i had kaumi on mine too) do the assignments too! Stick with the upper right dialog choice whenever possible, or the paragon choice! You will succed! Remember "DO NOT" recuit anyone past Mordin, Zaeed, Kasumi, Grunt, Jack, and Garrus or you will have gone "too far"! Thumbs up so everyone can see!

  • i just wear the death mask which increases paragon/renegade points by 30% more ;)

  • i just got the paragon option using this method, many thanks this video was really helpful :)

  • I have finished the game and i am a shock trooper so i have 100% paragon and Miranda's paragon option is still gray. Please help because i need the paramour achievement still.

  • Hey I Recruited the Assassin like 20 mins ago you think if I do this That It'll still work?

  • No way man thats gotta be a fucking bug. I had a high Paragon at 55% and i couldnt even stop the fight

  • @coffeemovie501 That depends you could have a paragon score of 125% (depending on your armor/build) and still not be able to complete it. It's a combination of how much of the game you have completed along with the paragon and renegade meter percentages you have. My advice is to pick paragon or ren early on in the game, right from that start and stick with it. Then as soon as their respective missions become available complete them - get the cutscene - and solve it earlier on vs later.

  • @Aeetos Yeah ii transfered a few files over an got my paragon to full an ii still couldn't resolve it i did it again an i did its best just to do the loyalty missions as earily as possible for these 2 ya cant go wrong.

  • I wish you could just shoot Miranda when you take Jacks side, Or throw her off the ship and get her re-assigned. She is carelessly and pointlessly jeopardizing the mission and endangering lives over a god-damn popularity contest.

  • @skytop082 Well spoken.

  • @telboy1992 I posted the official BW explanation earlier in the comment section, but let me make this clear. It measures your dialogue choices based on every paragon or renegade decision you made. I can't give you a list for what choices to make, only to either stick with mostly paragon or mostly renegade in order to solve this successfully. If you keep doing a little bit of everything (sometimes ren, sometimes par, sometimes neither) then you will not be able to resolve the fight.

  • ive beat this game 4 times and all 4 ive kept tali and legion loyal and all 4 times ive had to choose between miranda and jack. id much rather have it that way though. tali and legion are my 2 favorite characters.

  • Oh man just got this game and I was so mad when I bombed this fight.

I was in the I guess the beginning of the middle part of the game, right after the Geth ship when I did Jack's. Proceed to save over any useful backtracks then got thoroughly greyed out of luck. Fortunately for me I managed to persuade Miranda back into loyalty right after (which apparently is a bit odd according to some accounts- I was very surprised to see the paragon option open).

  • how do you get your paragon high?

  • thanks man, i got so pissed that i lost jacks loyalty so i am doing another play through but this time im gonna try this method out.... btw when do you start getting loyalty missions i haven't played this game in awhile.

  • I wish I'd seen this ages ago! Imported from ME1, I am only on level 28 in ME2 but almost have full paragon and three quarter renegade. I've saved Jack's mission for way later on so I can build up par and ren (lost loyalty 1st time I played ME2, so I had a strategy this time around). Now, after reading the advice on here, I'm wondering if I've left it too late.

Not romanced either of them, I went with Thane this time (Garrus last time in ME2 and Liara on ME1).

  • that happened to me farther in the game so i needed more paragon and i didn't have enough paragon to break the fight so i have miranda nonloyal and i'm going to wait until i have enough paragon to get her loyal again before the IFF mission! :(

  • so basically do some of the mission get the loyalty of miranda by doing her loyalty mission then recruite jack do her mission and then when the fight happens their should be a pargon and reneagade but as early in the game as possible

  • wow, already level 30 that early in the game?

    and who is Zaeed?

  • Thanks mate. Been trying every thing possible EXCEPT this (/Facepalm).

I always wondered why the Tali/Legion fight was easily done, but this one was extremely hard to do.

  • thanks man helps lots

  • I usually do Zaeed's loyalty mission before Horizon, before Kolus actually. You need at least one paragon bar full at that point though - not sure on how many renegade points you need in order to keep Zaeed's loyalty if you choose to save the workers. Then I recruit Grunt, then Horizon, then Jack followed by Miranda or Miranda followed by Jack.

  • @Aeetos did you talk to miranda and jack more often before you did the loyalt mission if that so than I sold my game for nothing

  • @Aeetos ok when you beat the game have try a new game with mass effect 2 import bonus and still get both their loyalty

  • @Aeetos I just wanted to pay homage dude! Oh my god it took me so loong to figure this out i was halfway through my new game plus when i came across this (trying to get 100% paragon=so lame). Several thanks, even though i had to restart it was worth it. And for those having trouble with the Legion Tali thing. Get the IFF after you recruit tali and after you do her loyalty mission. Keep legion in the AI core for as long as possible and you should have no problem. Much love from UK @Aeetos

  • @Ndlovu Can you leave Legion asleep and not activate him? Would that still give you "No Man Left Behind" achievement?

  • @TheLateNightGamer To answer your question briefly: YES. The point is to have a team that is first completely loyal.

BUT! There are things going on under the hood that can still cause you to fail this achievement. For example the part where you have to leave a team behind to defend the door while you fight that massive robot thing has a defense ratio calculated based on who you left and who you took to fight. As a safe bet always leave Grunt, Mordin, Legion & Zaeed.

  • @Aeetos

in this game footage I noticed that jack has a cryo power on her gun. How do you make teamates use that. Do you have to get level 4 on a bullet power and the rest of the team use it automatically?

  • Hey Aeetos, after you do you do zaeed's loyalty quest after mirandas, or do you do do it before and then do miranda's and jacks right after?

  • thanx man this really hepled i hated doing this part soo damn much but now i know how to resolve it so once again thanx

  • sorry but this is not true. i did the EXACT thing you did except for: getting loyalty with zhaeed, other DLC content. all i did after horizon was gain loyalty with miranda, then i left illium and did jack's loyalty mission and i couldn't solve the cat fight. I went paragon path. i had two bars and a half of paragon, barely anything in renegade. Something is messed up.

  • Thanks for the video dude. This video helped out a lot.

  • So after horizon you need to do Jack's lyalty quest first and who's Zaeed

  • I'm only around level 22 and I've chosen pretty much every paragon phrase. When talking you want to say only the things on the top of the wheel, the blue lines, and do every paragon interupt. Vice versa for Renegade

  • I noticed you have Zaeed's Loyalty. How did you do that without doing a Renegade, since you're paragon. I'm guessing the same thing about that hidden bar.

  • @15CUJO I typically do Zaeed's loyalty mission after I get Mordin and Archangel. You need one paragon bar filled in order to do his at the most earliest unless you are going the renegade route - then par and ren don't matter. I usually do it that early because his inferno grenade helps bunches on the Grunt recruit mission.

  • I've tried this and it still hasn't worked. for some reason my paragon score is way lower than this guys at the same point in the game.

and if ive actually got to use a specific class rather than the one i prefer using. then thats absolute bullshit

  • can you do jacks loyalty first and side with jack then do miranda's loyalty

  • nope the fight only kicks in after you've done both missions I already tried that

  • this helps

  • good job, that actually really helps...

    thanks

  • 3)

In addition, the ship arguments have different percentages. Miranda/Jack is easier to resolve with Renegade and Tali/Legion is easier to resolve with Paragon. That import bonus provides a safety net in case you miss some opportunities. Doing the mission earlier can be slightly in your favor only because you haven't missed as many opportunities yet.

  • 2)

To simplify: The game keeps track of all of your missed opportunities in getting Paragon or Renegade in every single area. If you start falling behind, you will most likely never catch up. You HAVE to continuously act Paragon OR Renegade. This becomes much easier if you start out with an import bonus from ME1 for those extra Paragon/Renegade points.

  • 1)

Kim Stolz (BioWare) recently revealed the secret behind Paragon and Renegade in one of the technical support forums. The game basically keeps its own hidden bar of the maximum amount of Paragon or Renegade you can get every time you enter an area. It then takes a percentage of that hidden bar to calculate how much you need at that moment to pass the check. The more times you miss a possible place to get Paragon or Renegade, the more checks you eventually fail.

  • Ok, saw this on the forums just now so I'm posting it here. This is official so I hope it helps end anymore debate on whether it's a glitch or not:

It's a longer quote so bear with.

  • you can have full paragon and full renegade and still not be able to solve the disagreement if you postpone it for too long (or maybe get fully involved with one of them - the romance factor is still unconfirmed).

  • i... have... to... start all over... FUCK!

  • I'm at the suicide mission and MIranda is the only one that's not loyal, not started the mission though.

Any ideas how I fix her loyalty at this stage in the game?

  • @CaptainBlack1690 return to an earlier save - before the derelict reaper, and try to get your par or ren above 90%

  • who did u choose

  • Loyalty?

miranda, cause of my dislike towards jack got repayed.

    now i play 4th time trough ME2

  • im getting this game really soon and my bro already has it. i watched him play on the 360. He chose Jack over Miranda and he had to do a whole bunch of mission to get her loyalty back. My question is if you get both Miranda and Jack in the beginning of the game and the fight happens do you need a high score or something close to 50%? And does this also work on the 360?

  • @Darklupo13 the fight will only be triggered after you complete each of their loyalty missions which you receive shortly after horizon, which is in the second act of the game - not the first. do their missions early enough and you should be able to keep their loyalty and not need a high par or ren meter. and yes, as far as i know this works with both platforms

  • can someone plz help i have paragon all the way up and i cant break up the fight also i cant talk to one or the other if i do blow one off somone plz help

  • @kiasphnos how far into the game's main storyline are you?

  • @ aeetos i am right at the end right before you go into the omega 4 relay.

  • Current theory I'm running with is that the options that require paragon or renegade points to utilize require higher paragon or renegade meter scores as the main storyline pogresses. A guy I know from the forums ran into the same problem you had and he needed just over 90% paragon to fix their fight - this was before he boarded the derelict reaper however.

I think your best bet is to go back to an earlier save.

  • ok so i have done that at least three times and it never seems to work. i have gone back as far to where im about to get the geth.

  • if u favor jack wat does miranda say.. dont need to answer if u have never favored jack

  • ok im at the reaper IFF part, 80% paragon score. and i still havent done the loyalty mission for miranda yet. also i have everyone but legion. and the other loyalties im missing are thane and samara. u think ill be able to convince after the miranda loyalty mssion?

  • how do you get that much paragon at the start of the game

  • @HlgJFF Your class combat mastery skill helps, when you fully evolve it it either multiplies your current par/ren meters by either 70% or 100% depending on its evolution. That aside, keep doing the interrupts and making choices that either increase the par or ren meters. I know some people managed to to get both par and ren option when they did this but that's probably only off an ME1 import. You don't need to be pure par or pure ren, just lean more towards one or the other as you play

  • Thanks for the tip. You could trim this down a little though, the video could have been less than 2 minutes long and have conveyed the pertinent info.

  • @Robandall version 1.0 was less than two minutes but players still had several questions (what exactly did you do?) and some said I spliced it all together with different characters and already some of the comments suggest that I modded the game. So I tried to be as thorough as possible with this version - if it was over the top and you got the gist earlier on, I apologize. However getting all the facts straight was paramount in this video and for the most part it seems like it accomplished that

  • Does the fight always take place in Miranda's office? I usually do miranda's sidequest first, then Jack's. But I wonder if it took place in Jack's area.

  • This doesn't work consistently I did this in two separate playthroughs doing this and still couldn't get

  • @tatty, go back to an earlier save. you can skip a lot of the sidemissions, save them for endgame. either sometime before horizon or after: load it, work on either par or ren, time it so its at about 50% when you complete both their loyalty missions.

i can't tell you what will or what won't work further into the game. i'm sure, some time from now, an unofficial scale will be figured out. until then, this is it

  • Another post. I can confirm this works and this is by no means a mod (As my friends were skeptical.) I just got this result. So now I can get No-one left behind. :) Thanks so much, mate!

  • i'm so flipping annoyed! i didn't have the paragon option, and i lost the loyalty of miranda. now; i've done all of the assignments and anomalies, and i only have to do the IFF mission. i'm on 80% paragon, and i just can't get it high enough.

    am i screwed?

  • @tattynatty21 yeeeeesssss

  • Your actualy not, i lost Jacks loyelty after the arguement.. for the last mission, just dont asighn Jack (or miranda, whatever) to ANY responsible roles, and she'll make it.. presuming you upgraded properly and everything =P

    Hope it helped.

  • @tattynatty21 You can use the Samara cheat. Talk to her in her meditation room and say you're not leaving over and over.

  • So long story short. Do this fight early on, and your morality level will probably be high enough, with the low scale for paragon/renegade?

  • A fellow BW forumnite had trouble regaining Miranda's loyalty but he finally managed to do so before he reached the derelict reaper - he said he needed like 90% paragon in order to do so, the meter requirements scale rapidly as the game progresses.

I recruited Thane one time at roughly this same point before I completed Jack and Miranda's mission so I think you'll be okay with recruiting Tali. Right now, you really have to do your best to estimate how much you need depending on where you are

  • I'm at that point but I am currently recruting tali do you think that might screw me up?

  • yes but what happened to me is I already did the wrong thing at this part, and Miranda is permanatly unloyal to me now, right?

  • Awesome video, hopfully this will help alot of people.
